Lexton was obsessed with battle.

"Where do you think you're going?"
My voice echoed through the ruined chamber.

"But if you're leaving," I added lazily, "shouldn't you take this with you?"
Something gleamed as I reached into my cloak.
"The Golden Jade Seal…!" Lexton growled.
Even the other demons froze.
Their eyes snapped toward the object in my hand like starving wolves spotting meat.
