The other VIP's looked over at her, wondering what she was laughing about since the charity match had gotten boring since Spector Unit 6 had killed the pilot of Excess Surplus.
"Well, they fucked up when they accepted the bounty contract on him, even though he was part of the guild, didn't they?" Stacey said with a smirk as she watched Adam destroy part of the guild building.
"They accepted a bounty on him when he was part of their guild?" Tessa asked in surprise.
"It's the guild policy," Becky replied, causing the other women to look at her before she continued. "The guild does not protect its members from having contracts placed on them unless they are SS rank or above."
"Seriously?" Tessa asked in surprise.
"How does an organisation like that survive or even work?" Mika asked.
"They're well paid for completing the bounty contracts, so they're willing to take the risk as it's better pay than most other jobs," Stacey replied as Becky nodded in agreement.
"How do you know so much about the guild?" Rowena asked curiously.
"As a former smuggler, I occasionally worked with bounty hunters, and they told me a little about how the guild worked. Also, Adam once explained the whole situation to me after I asked about it," Stacey replied.
"I see," Rowena replied as she gave Stacey a sad smile before she continued, "Still, you would have thought they would have learned not to easily mess with Adam or those he cares about after what happened to the guild building on Terrana Five."
"What's your opinion on what happened to the guild building on Terrana Five Princess?" Aphrodite asked as she turned to Tessa.
"The Bounty Hunter Guild hall is on sovereign territory with no other buildings in the immediate vicinity, and so not the responsibility of the Terran Empire. Only if the attacks had hit our land or citizens would we have intervened; however, since they didn't, we see this incident as a private dispute between Mr Spencer and the Bounty Hunter Guild," Tessa replied.
"How diplomatic," Aphrodite replied with a smirk before saying, "I'm interested to see what he does to the Bounty Hunter Guild this time."

"Deploy a drone and access their system, find out where Drot is," Adam said before a drone detached and flew over to one of the consoles in the room.
"Hey, stop, what's that thing doing?" The Catonian who had run into the room to alert the guild master said before he ran towards the drone.
"STOP!" Kuxau yelled too late as the drone turned and fired an energy bolt at the Catonian, vaporising him instantly.

Just as Kuxau was about to sigh with relief, he heard, "You have ten seconds to evacuate if you don't want to die."
"SHIT!" Kuxau cursed before rushing to the female Catonian and pulling her up, after which he dragged her towards the exit while shouting, "EVACUATE, IF YOU CAN HEAR ME EVACUATE NOW."
The individuals who had approached the guild hall after seeing the mech that had crashed into it and had now flown off started to flee again as they saw Kuxau running out of the ruined building while shouting.
