"Did his chat really just compare me to that flying rodent from that movie we watched?" Stacey asked angrily.
"Did they really just compare me to a fish?" Lorelie asked, equally angry.
"Well, to be fair, they did compliment your looks and tits after," Rowena said with a smirk.
"I don't know why you're smirking," Lorelie said as she turned to Rowena and continued, "If Stacey's part bat, then you're even more bat since you're a pure Brood."
Rowena's smirk seemed to freeze over as she understood the meaning of Lorelie's words.
"HAHAHAHAHA, this chat is hilarious, I have never seen a streamer's chat like this before," Aphrodite said after bursting into laughter.

"Alright, climb on," Tephe said excitedly.
"Where?" Adam asked.
"What?" Tephe asked in confusion.
"Where should I climb on?"
"Oh, have Spector Unit 6 sit at the spot between the back of my neck and shoulders," Tephe instructed as she used a claw to indicate the place she meant.
"Ok," Adam replied before he piloted Spector Unit 6 towards the indicated spot.
[Animefangirl (Earth): Wait, is he seriously going to ride a Dragon? That's so Anime.]
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): This is like some medieval Dragon Knight shit.]
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): Do Dragons often let people ride them?]
[DeverinianLordMalacoss (Deverinian 9): No, they don't. They only allow their closest friends and family to do so.]
[NonpareilRaphilia (Aaru): I'm honestly surprised she suggested it.]
[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): It just shows how much my goddaughter trusts Adam.]
After Spector Unit 6 landed on the spot, Tephe turned in the direction that the jump gate was located before her beautiful white scales started to shimmer and flow even whiter than before.
[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): Oh wow, she's so beautiful.]
[Superior4horns (Vinox 3): She really is. I had heard that Dragons do that when they're about to enter subspace, but I have never seen it before.]
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): How is she even doing that?]
[NonpareilRaphilia (Aaru): It's the special energy that allows them to travel through subspace.]
Maya watched in excitement as Tephe opened her large maw and released a beam of white energy into the space directly in front of her.
The space seemed to crack and arc with lightning as the white beam of energy struck it. Like when Spector had used its hyperdrive previously, the space before them started to distort slightly before it seemed to split open, revealing a dark hole that had lightning flashing around the edge.
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): That just never gets old.]
[Gunlovergirl (Earth): It's different and somehow cooler this time since Tephe opened it with a Dragon breath. When the streamers ship does it, it kind of just appears.]
"That was so cool," Adam suddenly said.
"Right, I'm the coolest Dragon alive, aren't I?" Tephe boasted proudly.
"Damn right you are," Adam agreed, making Tephe smile her Dragon smile even more as her tail wagged behind her.
"Ok, let's go, follow us in Maya," Tephe said before flying towards the subspace crack and entering it as Maya followed closely behind before the crack sealed itself shut again.
Adam was expecting subspace to be black, just black, devoid of anything, like he had seen in some Sci-Fi movies and TV shows. That, for the most part, was correct, except for one tiny detail. He was shocked when he found himself on what he could only describe as a star road.
It was as if they were flying just inches above a road that was made out of an uncountable number of stars that stretched out into the distance to a point that Adam couldn't see. As he turned around and looked back, he saw that the stars that made up the road seemed to scatter and vanish a few meters behind them, leaving only a void of nothingness.
[Puntanghunter69Ver2 (International Space Station): WHAT THE FUCK!]
[Celebrityhunter69 (Earth): So beautiful, why am I being forced to write that so many times today?]
[Noobkiller9000 (Earth): Is something like this even possible?]
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): It's a road, it's a road made of stars. 😱]
"What in the world," Adam couldn't help but mutter as he looked around him at the star road and saw that Maya had managed to catch up and travel right beside Tephe.
[AlamoMatador4thewin (Earth): Did the road just expand as the Space Whale came up beside the Dragon?]
"Hehe, Surprised?" Tephe asked with a giggle.
"Surprised is an understatement. How is this even possible?" Adam replied.
"It comes from the energy that allows us to travel through subspace. I don't know how ships do it, but anything that travels through subspace follows one golden rule: once you have set your destination, opened the subspace crack and entered, you HAVE to follow it to the end." Tephe explained.
"What do you mean?" Adam asked.
"Subspace travel is like a river where the water only flows in one direction. Once you enter that river, the current carries you to your destination. Maya and I are being carried along this river because the energy that allows us to travel in subspace is being pulled along by the river, and so we are being pulled along also. If you were to get off me right now, you wouldn't be pulled along since you lack that energy, and you would fall into the void."
"The void?" Adam asked.
"The darkness, it's what we call the void, as we don't know what is out there; some people think it's nothingness, completely void of anything. Others believe there are creatures, races and species that live in the void, though no one has ever seen one.
What is known is that if anyone without the energy that allows for subspace travel falls into the void, they are never seen or heard from again, as it has happened many times since subspace travel was first discovered."
"So it's impossible to turn around or alter course?" Adam asked.
"Yes and no," Tephe replied before continuing, "It is impossible to go back along the exact same route you have come because, as you can see, the river of energy is disappearing once we have crossed over it. If you attempt to turn around and go back the way you came, you will fall into the void.
It is possible for those races capable of subspace travel, like my Dragon race or Maya's Levithen race, to alter their course during subspace travel; however, only the oldest and most experienced of our races have learnt to do that. It's certainly not something I can do since it involves manipulating the very energy the river is made up of."
"So it's more like a river of stars than a road," Adam said as he focused on the river again.
"Exactly, a road you can normally go both ways on, a river only flows in one direction. Also, they are not stars; it's the energy I released from my breath attack, it not only opened the subspace crack but connected where we were to where we are going."
"How did you even connect the path? As far as I know, with a ship, you need to plot a destination and then the ship's computer does some crazy calculations," Adam asked.
"I can't really explain it to a being that is not capable of doing it," Tephe replied as she tried to think of the best way to explain it. "I guess the best way I can describe how I do it is by saying I do it instinctively."
"What do you mean?"
"I need to know the rough direction of the place I wish to get to, and then I simply envision that place in my mind while I gather the energy within my body."
"That's it?" Adam asked in surprise.
"That's it," Tephe replied before asking with a smile, "Where were you thinking I had the spatial coordinates of everywhere in the universe memorised or something?"
"Not the entire universe, but something like that. I figured you looked up the coordinates while I was on the planet," Adam replied.
"Hehe," Tephe giggled before saying, "We Dragons rarely use or need spatial coordinates like the other races; we just need to know the rough direction of where we want to go."
[StealthAssassin9 (Earth): That ability is like broken as fuck. Doesn't that mean she and the other beings capable of subspace travel can go anywhere they want?]
[Phoenixempress (Fenix Nest): As long as they know the general direction, yes.]
[Whostolemyduck (Earth): How do ships do it then? Also, is it true you can't alter your course mid-travel?]
[Handsome3horns (Vinox 2): Oh, please no, not a lecture on subspace engineering, I still have nightmares about that from school.]
[Beinglittleisnotadisadvantage (Strathorp 7): Don't worry, I'm not going to do a lecture on subspace engineering, it would take far too long, and I'm not being paid by the streamer to do it.
All I will say is that what the streamer said about complex calculations is correct; this is why you need a very advanced computer or AI to make a ship capable of subspace travel. Also, ships at present are indeed unable to alter course during subspace travel.]
