For a gem stone, 100 gold was a price that was on the higher end, no matter how rare or how beautiful the gem actually was. But there were some individuals who were obsessed with certain types of gems.
And one such individual was currently present in the auction hall. She was the wife of a wealthy merchant and the third daughter of a count family. Her name was Tira and she had an obsession for gems with red colour.
Without her presence or if the colour of the gem was not red, then the 100 gold would have been more than enough for Weiss to get this gemstone. But with Tira's presence here, she was still unwilling to give up on this.
So as the third calling of Weiss's bid was about to happen, Tira finally raised the price to 105 gold. Almost everyone had thought that this would be the end. But then, as the price was increased again, the people present became excited.
