For their part of the mission, Elise and Sakura had came to the area where the hidden cave of the bandits was supposed to be. Then Elise had asked Sakura to wait on top of a tree for some moment, while she alone went to investigate the forest area ahead.
As Sakura was not an expert in hiding her presence, Elise was going alone. She did know the approximate location of the cave and as her senses were that of a powerful grand knight, she should have no trouble finding the cave even if it was hidden extremely well.
At least, as long as there were any humans inside the cave, she should he able to sense them as long as these fake bandits were not using some kind of expensive magic item. And even with a magic item, there was a limit to how many people it could perfectly hide.
So Elise was still extremely confident. But as she went deeper and deeper into the forest, she still found nothing.
After about an hour had passed, Elise returned back. She was extremely disappointed.
