Thea and Yuna's first safety message arrived at eight-thirty without describing their conversation. Both women remained inside Nina's living room, both wanted privacy, plus neither requested support or early pickup. Their concise message fulfilled every safety obligation without turning private emotional work into our entertainment.
Nina read the approved line beside me before returning her phone faceup toward the table. We continued cleaning dinner dishes because anxious interpretation would not become more accurate through neglecting the kitchen.
