The restaurant placed four menus around a square table exactly as requested, then nearly ruined our careful geometry by removing one setting. Its host assumed three women had arrived together before waiting for separate dates.
"All four seats belong to this reservation. Kofi is dating Nina, Thea, plus me," Yuna said before I could correct the table.
The host restored the setting, apologized, plus asked whether separate checks would help. Nina chose one shared food bill divided through our agreement's date budget, while drinks and additions stayed personal.
"Thank you for asking about payment instead of deciding one man funds the entire table," Nina said.
We entered without holding hands in a row or arranging affection for the crowded room. Nina kissed my cheek after asking, Thea touched my forearm briefly, plus Yuna chose no entrance contact.
