Selene's proposition entered the closing lounge while staff still carried equipment behind us. Nina remained close enough to hear, but she did not approach, interrupt, kiss me, or perform ownership toward a potential client. Her stillness left the answer exactly where our agreement had always claimed it belonged.
I stepped another deliberate half meter away from Selene's immediate physical reach before answering. Her hand stayed lowered after touching my jacket, while the client card waited between two fingers.
"I am not available for a private night, Selene. My partners do not forbid it, and my answer belongs toward me," I said.
She looked toward Nina, then asked whether three relationships truly left no room for one uncomplicated encounter. The question treated nonmonogamy as public access instead of a structure containing its own agreements and preferences.
