One day later, the Nian Gao sailed into the waters of Totto Land, a territory ruled by Big Mom.
After entering the Sea of All Nations, Katakuri and Ace left the cabin and came out onto the deck. As they passed each island, Katakuri enthusiastically introduced them to Ace.

Big Mom's twenty-first daughter, Charlotte Praline, was a mermaid, and the exquisite sweets from Fish-Man Island perfectly suited Big Mom's taste. Thus, even though the island was not part of her sphere of influence, relations between the two sides remained friendly.
The Big Mom Pirates were a family-bound crew—fiercely exclusive and constantly vigilant. Towers made of sweets and sea slugs patrolled their waters, monitoring every approach. Any unauthorized ship entering Totto Land was usually destroyed without mercy.
After several more hours at sea, the Nian Gao finally arrived at Whole Cake Island, the heart of the Sea of All Nations and the headquarters of the Big Mom Pirates.
"The tea party will be held at ten o'clock tomorrow morning. Until then, Mr. Ace, you are free to explore Whole Cake Island."
After docking, Katakuri gave quick instructions, left several subordinates to arrange Ace's lodging, and then hurried away—his expression unusually tense.
"It seems even someone as powerful as Katakuri must tread carefully around Big Mom," Ace remarked, watching Katakuri's departing figure with a faint smile. Then, shrugging, he decided to wander the island alone.
Ace had a vague idea why Katakuri seemed so anxious.
Perhaps his sudden visit had disrupted an engagement that was supposed to happen years ago.
He recalled the story from the original timeline—Big Mom's 35th daughter, Charlotte Lola, who had refused to marry the prince of the Giant Tribe, Loki, and fled Totto Land in pursuit of free love.
Katakuri's hurried departure likely meant that Lola had run away again, this time right before the engagement ceremony.
Although the marriage was political, it carried special meaning for Big Mom. Ace could imagine just how furious she must be right now.
Still, this matter had nothing to do with him. What truly interested him was the mysterious item in Big Mom's possession.

Whole Cake Island was not named metaphorically. The entire island was made of cake and cream, with buildings constructed from edible sweets. The residents appeared content and cheerful, as if living in a fairy-tale world.
If not for the fact that every resident had to pay a portion of their lifespan as rent to live there, this place could truly have been called a dreamland.
As he strolled through the sugary streets, Ace couldn't help but think he should have brought Yamato along. She would've loved this kind of whimsical island.
Meanwhile, within Sweet City, at the top of Cake Castle—
"What?! You still haven't found Lola? You useless brats!"
Charlotte Linlin, captain of the Big Mom Pirates, roared furiously at her gathered children.
"Mom, none of us expected Lola to run away at such a time! She left Whole Cake Island days ago—by now, she's probably outside Totto Land entirely!" replied Charlotte Perospero, her eldest son and Minister of Candy.
"Trash! You're all trash! How could you let her escape and only discover it now?!" Big Mom's voice thundered through the hall.
"To think she'd dare run away at such an important moment… That girl Lola really knows how to make me angry!"
Big Mom's huge form trembled with fury. This was supposed to be her chance—finally, after decades—to reconcile with the giants.
When she was young, an incident in Elbaf had caused the giants to despise her completely. Since then, they'd refused all contact.
But this time, fate had seemed to give her another opportunity. The Prince of Elbaf, Loki, had fallen in love with her daughter Lola at first sight and proposed to her immediately.
If Lola became the princess of the Giant Tribe, not only would the long-standing grudge be resolved, but Big Mom could also ally with the giants, gaining access to the world's most powerful nation and their unmatched strength.

After ranting at her children for a while, Big Mom turned toward Charlotte Chiffon, Lola's twin sister.
"Chiffon," she said in a dark tone, "if Lola isn't found before tomorrow, you'll take her place at the ceremony. You'll be the one to marry Prince Loki of the giants."
"No matter what it takes, I will have the power of the Giant Tribe on my side!"
"Yes, Mama…" Chiffon replied nervously.
At that moment, the massive doors of the throne room creaked open.
"What's going on here?"
Katakuri entered, his sharp eyes taking in the tense atmosphere—the furious Big Mom, the terrified siblings, the shattered remains of dessert plates on the floor.
"Mother," he said in a low voice, "what has made you so angry? Did something happen while I was away?"
