Chapter 65 - CHAPTER 65: INCOMPLETE PUZZEL

Jayden's p.o.v

"You seem to be distracted."

Leo lay relaxed in Jayden's arms, but his instincts told him something was amiss. Turning to face him Leo smiled kissing his chin.

"I love you. I love this. I love us. But-"

Jayden knew where this was going but he did not want to stop his fated mate from expressing himself even though he most probably would hate to hear the 'but'.

"I want to spend the rest of my life with you. But-"

He was getting nervous, so he rubbed his shoulder encouraging him to continue.

"I thought us mating would automatically fill this hole… and it did don't get me wrong... It is just that… there is a hole that somehow it is empty. It is probably stupid - I do not know how to explain this..."

"No. Nothing you say is stupid and I have heard of this, although very rare the wolf goddess still bears gifts for us... For now, we fill the gapping space with our love, together we can make us work."

"I love you and I would love nothing better than to do all in our might to make us work."

He muttered him his arms, the alpha kissed his forehead, and he felt his heart jump.

"Agreed."

Two months later…

Shit. Jayden felt the rip. Being together was heaven before they mated. It feels like they are missing something that their relationship needs. The love they share with each other but the more the dark void is acknowledged the more they want to find what is missing. Leo is brave enough to question this feeling they both feel and both fail to understand. One thing he was certain of is that he does not want to lose Leo and the sooner he solves the mystery the better it is of them.

"Leam. I am at the location."

Dropping the call, he refused to want to hear is friend go on about this. He simply did not understand gypsies, neither did Jayden but a least he could detect if one had the gift or is a 'sham' as his friend put it.

"Good day the birds told me you are looking for me."

Birds really? She is beautiful, gorgeous in fact her beauty is wilderness. In a sense that if you were interested you would think she is mystical, raw or enchanting. In this world she is a seer, not a fortune teller. Therefore, she could be a gypsy, her gift in their world is being a seer and in the human world she will be considered a reader.

Adding on the definition of sane or normal? Well, he's far from either. He's a werewolf he has full-on conversations with his Wolfpack, constantly stuck in a tug-of-war between man and beast. In their world, that is the norm. So, what if she talks to birds? Let her be the gypsy's version of Snow White. But the moment he stepped into her space, everything shifted. The air changed. He felt the energy circulating alive, pulsing, ancient. She's legit. Not because she looks or sounds crazy, but because her aura it gave him goosebumps. The kind you don't shake off. Chasing her down will be like trying to catch his own tail and that's exactly what the alpha in him despised. No one likes the feeling of being outmatched, outmanoeuvred... or unnerved.

"I want a reading."

She smiled mischievous, knowing and a small tent appeared out of nowhere. So tiny, it seemed designed to keep him out rather than invite him in.

"Let me guess you want to know about your fated?"

She raised a hand, palm facing the sky.

"Okay then. Speak to me, my little earthlings."

A butterfly fluttered toward her ear, like it was whispering secrets only she could hear.

"Oh my... my. She's a beautiful young thing, creative and fertile."

"He is a beta. My mate is a beta and male. There's no way he can be fertile."

Her eyes shimmered just for a moment with a ghostly white glow. A tiny bird landed on her shoulder, chirping softly as a firefly hovered nearby. He blinked. The scene grew more surreal by the second.

"Yes," she said slowly, almost dreamlike. "I see your mate... but by the looks of things, you're yet to meet."

She tilted her head.

"Okay... mmm... I'm not a therapist, but tell me how things are going between you and your current mate?"

"I came to see a gypsy, not a counsellor."

She laughed a sound like wind through leaves.

"Expected. Very much so."

"What do you mean?"

"You need your sun to be truly content and happy in your relationship. You already have the two moons. All that's missing now is your sun."

She looked off into the distance, as if watching a vision unfold.

"Congratulations. You've found your moon. But if you want it to last forever—you must find the sun. The two are connected, like the tides. Aah... it would make a beautiful story."

"Where do I find this sun?"

"How must I know that?" she said with a shrug and a cheeky grin. "I must go now. My advice? Hold tight to your relationship with your mate for now. The sun is close. She'll find you. But remember you are their alpha. And your love life? It's like a puzzle. You need all the pieces to complete the picture."

Before he could ask when, where, how she vanished. The tent faded with her, and she left without even taking compensation for her cryptic reading. *Poof* she's gone.
