Chapter : 31 : Cross Campbell :

" Students !!!! Attention !!!! "
The moment those words went through the room something happened.
As if an invisible current ran through everyone's body , all of them stood up in perfect attention position .
For some reason that voice felt like a command coming from their leading officer and it was their duty to obey his each command.
At this moment almost every student in the room were shaking a little in fear .
Even the noble kids including the second prince and Elera Ros Thalric were at this moment standing straight in attention .
And even their bodies constantly shaking although it quickly came under control .
Perhaps the one who was doing the best at this moment was Delia Steelheart and Cian .
For Cian it was obvious because he had known that this would happen and was prepared for it .
And from the battle experience he had learned from the forest adventure had made his resistance against such powerful presence better than before .
So he was able to handle it much better .
Delia Steelheart on the other hand was different.
Coming from a strong warrior family she was trained by her father everyday in military discipline .

In the story this man used his long montante sword like a hurricane cutting through enemies and obstacles like they were made of butter .
In fact before the original hero Zeal Cloudseaker met Eren Steelheart this man was the architect behind his basic training .
Although Zeal wouldn't train much in the academy and most of his high ranking martial arts power especially swordsmanship were learned from Eren Steelheart .
But still from the basic trainings up to the early stage of Aura user all of it were done under Cross Campbell's careful guidance .
So it can be said that Cross Campbell refined the basic while Eren made him the master .
Cross Campbell was once upon a time a military commander working in the kingdom's borders to fight against it's enemy and had extensive knowledge in warfare .
He was not a commander with most tactical awareness or strategical mind .
But he was a fearless commander who would lead his people from the front and fight with them .
At the same time he was also known for causing troubles with various local nobilies .
This earned him a lot of respect from his soldiers and a huge number of enemies from various local lords .
Oh ! You want to know what he did to make so many local nobles enemies .
Well according to him it's nothing much .
He just punched one of them because he was talking to loudly and just giving them orders without any idea of the battlefield.
Then he crashed into one of their parties so that he can take the food supplies to his men who were fighting a demon beast in the nearby area .
He also might have accidently ruined a noble brat's reputation by not acting in a play where he would get defeated by the other side on purpose .
And he also might have done some other things .
But was it really that much .

Then one day in a fight for the Kingdom he was injured .
While the battle went in his favour the wounds he received that day would finally convince him to leave the battlefield .
At first this decision was only temporary as he was waiting for a year to recover and then come back again .
However it seems that he had underestimated just how much bad will he had earned with those local lords .
The moment he left the army many of those nobles tried to make trouble for him and constantly created problems with his return .
And while he was a capable commander at the time he was only at the early stage of master realm .
More importantly he lacked any real connections with anyone within the capital .
So it was quite difficult for him even with his support among the local troops it was quite difficult to counteract the influence brought by the local nobles .
Fortunately for Cross Campbell he applied to become a teacher in the academy and with the principle's support those local nobles were forced to step back .
Since then he has been serving at the Academy and increasing his strength.
And after joining the Academy he changed his mind and instead of going back to the army he decided to stay and teach the next generation of warriors for the kingdom .
And don't worry about the nobles who cause trouble for him as they got what they deserved .
After the principle brought this matter to the higher ups it did not take long for actions to be taken against them .
After all causing trouble for such a loyal and strong man was unexpectable .
Especially in a time when such young warriors with potential are required by the kingdom .
So those noble families were penalized with their ranks being demoted and territory reduced .
" Hahaha ! Good ! very good that's what I like to see in my new students . "
As the man started speaking he looked at everyone present .
He was not quite disappointed by their reaction this time .
Although most of the students weere a little shaking up but that was to be expected after all they were just begining their journey .
But among those students there were some that caught his attention .
The first was Delia Steelheart .
' Huh ! so that's the daughter of Eren Steelheart. '
' Not bad ! Not bad at all . '
He was quite impressed from her reaction right now .
It was quite obvious that she had been trained quite well by her father and among all the present students she was right now the strongest in terms of martial art skills .
The next one's he noticed were the second prince and Elera Ros Thalric .
While both of them where a little shaken up and certainly not as composed as Delia their reaction was also quite good .
And then he noticed some other noble and commoner students who did quite well in this test of hi ..
And included both Cian and Zeal .
" Alright everyone my name is Cross Campbell . "
" And from now on I will be responsible for teaching you various kinds of martial art practice . "
" While the previous two professors will teach you the ways of Magic , I am here to teach you the ways of a blade and fist . "
" So I hope all of you will be ready because from tomorrow onwards your path towards becoming a warrior starts . "
As he said that a huge smile found on his face that was apparently meant to encourage the students .
However to most of the students present this felt like a beast smiling at them with the intentions of training them to exhaustion each day .
So instead of motivating all it managed to do was make many student's face go pale in fright .

With that a long and awkward silence fell over the room as no one spoke up after him .
" Cough ! Cough ! "
Looking at the awkward atmosphere it was professor Frost who finally decided to break the silence .
" Professor Campbell I believe that there is someone else who would like to speak after you are done . "
" Oh ! Yeah sorry about that . "
With a little embarrassed face the Titan of a man finally stepped out of the podium allowing the last person to come up .
At this moment Cian's eye's narrowed as he looked at the female figure now standing on the podium carefully .
' So that's her ! '
