Mark sat before his computer that night, staring at the final chapter of the novel he had updated.
He was finally done with it, and he couldn't help but smile at the ending that had shaped into what it became. He was proud of it, and he was certain that Gideon would be happy that the book ended the way he had initially scripted it to be.
It was already evening, so he let out a yawn while he stretched himself, looking out through the window. The city was bustling with life, but after returning from the thrilling world of the novel, he didn't think the city could match it.
It was strange. Almost like a dream. Sometimes it didn't even feel as though it had happened. Sometimes he wondered if he ever went into the novel and came back. Sometimes he wondered if he even spoke to Eden before. Sometimes he wondered if he ever met Louis.
