Chapter 582: The Last One Out
Leon reached Seraphine before her second step.
She opened her mouth.
"I'm fine."
He kissed her before she could say it.
Seraphine stiffened for a moment.
Then her arms wrapped around him.
Her kiss was different from Ira's. There was no desperate force behind it. Seraphine allowed herself to relax slowly, surrendering the control that had carried her out of the dungeon.
Her tongue met his.
She leaned into him while Leon's life energy spread through her body.
The deep cuts beneath her armor began to close. Mana flowed through her exhausted channels, easing the damage left by the trial.
When their lips finally separated, Seraphine kept her forehead against his.
"You came back," Leon said.
"So did you."
"Barely."
Seraphine glanced at the dried blood still covering parts of his repaired armor.
"You look worse than I do."
"The blood isn't mine anymore."
"That sentence does not make me feel better."
"It should. I'm healed."
