Georgia's POV
"Hmm…" I tapped my chin with exaggerated seriousness, pretending I was about to give a TED talk instead of seduce my husband. "First of all, I want to confirm if this new mattress actually has the motion-isolation feature the description bragged about."
Nick's smirk was immediate, slow, wicked, knowing.
Then in one swift motion, he scooped me into his arms. "Great," he murmured, eyes glinting. "Let's test it. Thoroughly."
Before I could squeal, he tossed me onto the bed, gentle but playful, making my laughter burst out in a high-pitched sound.
"It's true!" I announced dramatically with my mouth agape and wide eyes, bouncing the tiniest bit. "I barely bounced!"
Nick stepped back, pretending to test the floor for takeoff. "My turn."
"Nick—don't you da—" I squealed when he pretended to leap with all his strength but landed over me, feather-soft, hands braced on each side of my head.
He grinned. "Confirmed. We should give this a five-star review."
