Ishtar's mood suddenly became somewhat subtle; she couldn't help but glance at Eresh. Why did she feel like she was the one being unreasonable? But things had come to this, and Ishtar couldn't back out now. There was no way she could now say to Asher: "Why don't you stay?
So you don't think I'm stingy." ...Hmm, if she said that to Asher, he'd probably think she was a very difficult goddess to deal with, right? Ishtar seemed completely oblivious, but in Asher's eyes, she was indeed very hard to please.
Ereshkigal watched the two leaving the underworld. Only after they had left did she reveal the cunning smile unique to a young girl and quietly said, "See you tonight."

The sun set in the west. After leaving the underworld, Ishtar quickly followed Asher to the street. Seeing the residents who, upon seeing Ishtar, immediately hid away, Asher couldn't help but chuckle. Ishtar's cheeks flushed, and she said indignantly, "They just don't know how to react when they see a goddess. You'll see." After saying that, she walked up to a passerby, who immediately greeted Ishtar with a long face.
"See?" Ishtar said triumphantly, glancing at Asher.
"I see," Asher thought, I saw that passerby looking like they were about to cry from fear. He was really curious what crazy things Ishtar had done. To avoid causing a bigger commotion on the street, Asher pulled Ishtar away from the bustling street without a word, heading towards their previous gathering spot. Ishtar was still muttering something about "dare to touch a goddess, I'll curse you to be barren" and so on.
Asher didn't care. His child was probably still lively and killing monstrous beasts.
"Speaking of which, my temple doesn't seem to have any attendants, does it?" Ishtar suddenly said. "How about you come be my attendant? Since you've donated treasures to me twice, I can give you this special privilege." Asher completely ignored her, leading Ishtar to a small house.
He pulled open the door curtain and found Merlin already back, leisurely resting in a chair. Beside him were Gudako and others, and in the corner, a large, purple-haired L*li in a black robe stood quietly.
"Merlin, what happened to your face?" Asher looked at the claw marks on Merlin's face in confusion, stepping forward to examine them closely for a moment. "Looks a bit like a paw print."
"Let's not talk about that," Merlin said with an unlucky, "I'm so unlucky" expression, waving his hand. His gaze fell upon the woman beside Asher: "The one beside you is...
Goddess Ishtar, right? Why are you here?" Ishtar snorted, crossing her arms, and turned her face away, looking as if to say, "I'm very aloof right now, don't talk to me."
Asher smiled and gave a rough explanation. In short, Ishtar had joined their faction. Subsequently, feeling the admiring glances from the group, Asher merely shook his head, showing no great emotion, though the corners of his mouth almost couldn't help but curl up. So this is what it feels like to be looked at with worship.
"Ah, I seem to have seen him before too..." Mash whispered from the side.
"Ah, I haven't introduced him to everyone yet?" Merlin suddenly looked as if he had just realized something, clapped his hands, and stood up. "This is the current King of Britain, or you can call him King Arthur."
"King Arthur is that young?" Mash said, her eyes slightly widened. Fou, sitting on her shoulder, stared at Merlin.
Not long ago, when it encountered Merlin, it immediately delivered a heavy blow to Merlin, but it seemed it wasn't quite satisfied, and now looked eager to strike again.
"Ah, right, right. Although he's King Arthur, he's always grown up under the shadow of his Shishou and elder sisters. He's quite laid-back, in other words, quite casual, so you don't need to be too restrained." Merlin added with a smile.
"Growing up in the shadow?" Gudako repeated, tilting her head slightly, her red hair falling, her bright eyes filled with confusion.
"Yes," Merlin nodded, continuing, "Simply put, every day he was" But before Merlin could speak, Asher smiled. He raised his finger, and before Merlin could react, restrained him. Then he called out to Fou on Mash's shoulder: "Now's your chance!"
"Fou~ Fou!" The Fourth Beast delivered a seemingly powerless but actually very destructive paw strike to Merlin's face. Then the court mage spun exaggeratedly several times before falling to the ground.
"Too much, truly too much!" Merlin angrily grabbed Fou, who was still trying to pound his face. "I let you vent your resentment from back then, but now you dare to hit me again, you ferocious beast!" Fou waved its tiny paws, looking "super fierce."
"Serves you right," Asher gave Merlin a gloating look. Although Mash and Gudako looked like they wanted to stop it, they also didn't take Fou away.
"Indeed, serves him right." From the corner, a voice of agreement suddenly came. Asher looked up and saw a large, purple-haired L*li standing quietly in the corner, looking at the two paw prints on Merlin's face. She then looked at Asher with a satisfied gaze, the corners of her mouth twitching slightly, but she quickly pressed her lips
together, maintaining her expressionless look.
"Had enough chatting? If you have, take me back to the temple. I'm tired." Ishtar interrupted Asher and the others' conversation, looking very tsundere.
"Don't you have a sky-boat? You can go back by yourself, can't you?" Asher retorted.
"You're my attendant, aren't you? Why so many complaints?"
"When did I become your attendant?!"
"From the moment I decided to return to Uruk," Ishtar said with a smile. "And this is an opportunity to be by a goddess's side, you know. How can I help you if I'm in a bad mood?"
What a troublesome goddess. Asher grumbled inwardly, finally saying helplessly to the others, "I'll take her back to the temple first, then I'll come back to you later."
"Arthur, you'd best be careful, it's better to maintain a bit of distance..." At that moment, Merlin suddenly cautioned somewhat guiltily, watching Asher about to leave.
"What do you mean?" Asher stopped and asked.
"Well..." Merlin looked as if he had something to say but finally shook his head and smiled. "Never mind, it's nothing."
