----------------------------------------------------------

Ignoring Clayman as he wailed on the ground, Shion happily ran over to Rimuru, her expression bright as she waited for praise.

What Shion wanted was never treasure.

All she wanted was Rimuru's praise.

Just as she was smiling and leaning in, a massive surge of magicules suddenly condensed behind her, erupting violently into the air.

"Move. Now, Shion."

Rimuru reacted instantly, pulling Shion behind him as he turned toward the source of the disturbance. The air trembled. Magicules from every direction were being dragged toward a single point, compressing, stacking, and swelling unnaturally.

That point was where Clayman had fallen.

"It's starting," Emiya Shirou said calmly from the side.

He stepped forward and summoned his Unique Weapon. His gaze remained fixed on Clayman as a pillar of light swallowed the demon lord's broken body.

"So it's finally time," Emiya Shirou said, a faint smile forming. "Time to deal with you properly, Clayman."

The solution for Clayman had already been decided shortly after Emiya Shirou arrived in this space.

Induce Clayman's awakening.

Then devour him.

Clayman was already standing at the threshold of becoming an Awakened Demon Lord. If Rimuru consumed him after that transformation, the benefits would far surpass what an unawakened Clayman could provide.

That plan had come from Emiya Shirou.

He had already decided that once everything here was resolved, he would begin preparing to leave. Before that happened, Rimuru needed to be as strong as possible.

As for why Emiya Shirou was so certain Clayman could awaken, the reason was simple.

Rimuru had told him what she saw through Thought Communication.

Surrounding Clayman were countless grudges.

Lingering souls.

The remnants of those who had died by his hand.

Based on that, the Lord of Wisdom concluded that Clayman possessed the qualifications to become an Awakened Demon Lord.

And so, the plan was born.

"Even if it's incomplete," Emiya Shirou said, watching the magicules continue to rise, "the amount he can provide will still be massive."

"After all," Rimuru replied, eyes narrowed, "an Awakened Demon Lord is still an Awakened Demon Lord."

Clayman slowly stood.

His body radiated power, the pressure alone causing the surrounding air to distort. Though the awakening was flawed, his presence had undeniably changed.

Emiya Shirou and Rimuru stepped out from the crowd together, both raising their hands slightly.

"What? Clayman actually awakened?"

Carrion's voice rang out as he stepped forward.

"Rimuru, then let me help you. As a fellow Demon Lord, I-"

"No need, Carrion," Rimuru said calmly, lifting a hand. "We'll handle Clayman ourselves."

He turned his gaze back toward Clayman.

"We promised to deal with him personally."

Carrion paused, then nodded, stepping back without further argument.

Clayman's appearance had changed. His features were sharper, his presence heavier, but something about him still felt unstable. His soul hadn't fully adapted to the awakening.

Still, the power was real.

"Rimuru. Emiya Shirou."

Clayman's voice shook with rage.

"I'll kill you both myself."

The declaration earned him smiles instead of fear.

The two advanced.

Fast.

"Is he acting tough?" Emiya Shirou muttered.

"Looks like it," Rimuru replied.

"Then he's planning to run."

"Most likely."

"I'll leave it to you, Rimuru."

"Yeah. Leave it to me."

Rimuru swung his hand.

A barrier snapped into place, sealing the space completely. The three of them were enclosed, the boundary cutting off any possible escape route.

"W-What is this?" Clayman's eyes darted around as panic crept into his expression.

"What happened?" Rimuru said evenly. "Isn't it obvious?"

"You were thinking of running."

Emiya Shirou smiled faintly.

"Don't bother. You're not going anywhere."

They charged.

"Bastards!"

Clayman roared as he gathered magic power into his hands and released it in a raw, overwhelming blast. The attack was crude, but its sheer output far surpassed Shion's earlier strike.

This was the power of an Awakened Demon Lord.

Even Benimaru would have struggled to face it head-on.

But the ones standing there were Emiya Shirou and Rimuru.

Emiya Shirou raised his divine sword and cut cleanly through the attack, slicing the magic apart as if it were cloth.

At the same time, Rimuru extended her hand.

And absorbed the rest.

"What-?!"

Clayman's shock lasted only an instant.

They were already in front of him.

Two fists.

One from each side.

The impact crushed his face and sent his body flying backward.

Before he could hit the ground, invisible force dragged him back.

And then the real beating began.

Punch after punch struck him in mid-air. Emiya Shirou's movements were precise and controlled, each blow landing where it would disrupt Clayman's balance the most. Rimuru matched him perfectly, the two moving in rhythm without a word.

Clayman never touched the ground.

To the onlookers, only afterimages remained.

His body was kept suspended, battered continuously until Rimuru finished it with a clean kick that sent him crashing across the floor.

"Ha," Emiya Shirou exhaled, stretching his shoulders. "That felt good."

The frustration he'd been carrying finally eased.

Clayman lay sprawled on the ground, bruised, bloodied, and screaming incoherently.

Rimuru walked over, looking down at him.

"Clayman," she said calmly. "One last time."

"Who told you about me?"

"Who gave you information after I left the human world?"

"Who was it that led you to use Mjurran and deploy the Magic Nullification Domain?"

Clayman coughed and laughed weakly.

"Don't underestimate me," he spat. "I won't betray my comrades."

"I won't sell out my client."

"That's the ironclad rule of the Moderate Harlequin Alliance."

"...I see."

Rimuru's eyes cooled.

The air around her grew heavy.
