Verion walked, passing an empty main road, only showing the cloudy vista of the Mystic Sky valley in the distance. Birds flew, the sun showed dusk, and the gentle wind danced, fluttering Verion's hair and cloak.
"I was too naive. This behavior has only caused a commotion and led to this," Verion muttered to himself. "I must first understand the structure of this world. I need to think carefully."
Verion walked far across a wide expanse of grassland until he found a Bamboo Forest.
Verion looked for thick, tall bamboo. After tapping it, he channeled Emerald Energy into two fingers, forming a small knife blade, and cut the bamboo. "I'm thirsty. This bamboo seems to have water inside it," Verion said, then drank the water inside the bamboo gulp by gulp. "This water is fresh and cool. I'll cut a few for supply."
Verion found a cliff wall. Verion cut the bamboo into many pieces, tossed them into the air, and kicked the bamboo one by one until they firmly pierced the cliff face. Verion ran and stepped on them one by one to climb it. After reaching the top, he was still in the Bamboo Forest. Verion looked around, seeing no sign of any animals.
Verion walked far again and finally found a snake. Verion reached out his hand, but the snake almost bit him. Verion immediately stomped on the snake, crushing its head and spilling purple blood. "I'm very far from Emperor Fall now, about five kilometers crossed?" Verion snorted. "I'm bored in this bamboo forest."
Verion slashed one of the bamboo stalks and threw it up. Verion jumped, kicking the bamboo as his footing to slide. The bamboo shattered, and Verion slid quickly through the air.
Verion looked around as he slid. "This bamboo forest is massive. Good thing I'm gliding through the air and not walking."
Verion fell to the ground with a loud thud, smoke billowing up. A shepherd boy from a village stumbled back from the impact of Verion's descent. "?! Is this a meteor!" Verion emerged from the smoke, his cloak covering him. Verion walked up to the boy and helped him stand. "Mister, why are you covering yourself?"
Verion replied in a quiet but distant voice. "It's nothing. I'm covering myself because... my face is ugly, so I lack confidence. Oh, by the way, kid, is there a settlement nearby?" The boy replied, "Yes, straight from here. You'll find Wheat Village." Verion thanked him. "Thanks. I'm going ahead," he said, patting the boy's shoulder and running.
The shepherd boy looked confused and surprised. Verion ran continuously; his calf muscles were hot and constantly pumping. Upon reaching Wheat Village, he was breathless. "I'm starving~..." It turned out he was hungry, so he hurried into the village.
Verion approached a vendor selling meat-filled steamed buns. "Sir, I want to buy! How much does it cost?" The vendor replied, "One meat bun is one silver coin." Verion reached into his pocket but found... he had no money. "Damn... I forgot to bring any money in Emperor Fall," Verion muttered inwardly, looking anxious.
"Uh... Sir, I won't buy the buns yet, I'll be back," Verion said to the vendor. The vendor looked annoyed. Verion just scratched his head and left. "Hmm, how do I get money? HA! I have an idea..." Verion hid behind a pile of wheat in an alleyway. Verion channeled his energy, refining it to form a thread of Emerald. A resident passed by, Verion moved the thread and secretly stole the resident's wallet. Verion, "Yes! Got it."
Verion ran back to the vendor. "Sir! Wrap up five meat buns!" Verion looked to his left and was shocked. Verion saw the resident whose wallet he had just stolen lying on the ground with foam coming from his mouth and white eyes. The bun vendor, "Hey, hey, stop. Here are your buns, five silver total." Verion took and paid for them, then immediately left the village.
Verion held the buns in his right hand and the water supply in his left. Verion alternated between eating and drinking until the buns were finished. Verion jumped into the air, seeing a forest to his left. "I need to go there to build shelter first." Verion spun his body and propelled himself with both feet, sliding zig-zag toward the forest. Upon arriving, Verion collided with a tree because he was moving too fast. The tree Verion hit fell with him. Verion had a bump on his forehead, and his head was spinning as he lay sprawled. "Ow-duh aa..duhh~" A monkey sitting on a tree branch was startled and fell.
Verion got up from his fall and walked. "I should build some shade to live in first." Verion chopped down trees one by one with his energy forming a blade, cutting them into wooden blocks. Verion cut the end of one block into a point and embedded it into a suitable tree trunk. Verion inserted the blocks one by one to form the floor of a treehouse, and installed walls, along with holes for windows and a door, fitting the blocks together like a puzzle. "Finally... done!" Verion was exhausted and immediately lay down, falling asleep quickly.
In his sleep, Verion dreamt of entering the realm of the Age of Civilization Extinction. The corpses of warriors rose and attacked. Verion summoned his Olvateria Sword and swung it, but... the corpses were only shadows. A faint voice murmured, "Use the shield right now! To fight them, you must possess the power of the soul." Verion summoned a bright yellow glass shield.
The voice continued, "You do not yet have the power of the soul. The Ancient King's Sacred Body within you has not been awakened." Verion asked, "Then what should I do?" The voice replied, "I will help you temporarily."
Verion's chest glowed yellow, and a living light emerged. The light fell to the ground and formed the figure of a young man dressed entirely in gold and rainbow-shimmering. This was the Ancestor of the Dawn of All Light.
Verion was surprised. "You... are you the Ancestor of the Dawn of All Light?!" The young man replied, "Yes. Wait a moment, call me Handsome Lucius!" while putting on a cheeky face. Verion replied, "Tch! You only win on flashy looks. Handsome or not, I think I'm still the handsomest!" Lucius, "You jerk! Do you want my help or not! If not, then don't!" Verion realized, "Oh, right, right! Help me!... Handsome Lucius!!" Lucius replied, "That's better!"
Lucius brought his two hands together, forming a ball of light between them. "Hmmm... what weapon should I use?" Lucius murmured. He then conjured a Golden Glowing Farmer's Hoe. "A HOE?!!" Verion exclaimed upon seeing it. Lucius began hacking the corpses with his hoe until the corpses vanished like shadows. "Hahaha! This hoe is actually pretty good," Lucius said excitedly.
When the corpses were gone, Verion asked, "Can't I fight? And what is the Ancient King's Sacred Body within me?" Lucius replied, resting the hoe on his shoulder like a sword, "Huh? You don't know? Why are you asking that? I'm not the owner. The Ancient King's Sacred Body merged with your body, but it hasn't been awakened. That's why you haven't awakened its soul power or its incredible physical strength. The Dark Entity inside you laments your glowing Ancient King's Sacred Body every moment. I don't know what it's doing, but it keeps analyzing it." Verion asked, "What's strange about that body? Why does it analyze it constantly?"
Suddenly, a white light disc appeared in the sky. Within it appeared a figure of an Elder who looked sound in body and soul. His appearance was pressing and dominating. Verion said, "This pressure... is outrageous. This is not mortal power." Verion's Emerald Energy surged out from within him, trying to resist, but it felt like mud. Verion's body was slowly pushed to the ground until he was kneeling.
The Elder spoke, "Young man, you are the last human here. Why is there a power of hell within you?" Verion remained silent. Lucius still stood firm. "Please allow me to answer." The Elder looked at Lucius. "Why are you here?" Lucius answered, "I am accompanying my friend, Elder Teacher." Verion, "Teacher?!" while enduring the pressure.
The Elder released the pressure on Verion. Verion knelt exhausted, looking at the Elder, "Please, Elder, allow me to introduce myself!" The Elder nodded. "My name is Verion! I am the son of the King, Master Saint Van Xiao, born in the Emperor Fall Kingdom!" The Elder replied, "Emperor Fall? That territory would only exist after the Age of Civilization Extinction."
Lucius interrupted, "Eee, Teacher, my friend is just bluffing. Please be merciful." Verion looked at Lucius, muttering softly and vaguely, "He-hey!?" Lucius used his palm toward Verion to signal, "Wait, give me a moment."
The Elder said, "Why do I feel something strange about your friend?" The Elder raised his hand, and Verion's body flew toward him as if caught. The Elder focused his gaze on Verion's eyes. The Elder's vision was blocked by a transparent wall, but he broke through it until it cracked and shattered. The Elder went deeper until he found an Ancient King's Sacred Body inside, which was bowed as if waiting to be born.
"Why is my body inside this young man?" the Elder said.
The Dark Entity inside Verion suddenly hid its presence; it suppressed its power, making itself transparent until it became invisible.
The Elder asked, "Who are you really? Why is my body inside your body?" Verion answered, "I don't know! I only just found out about your body from Lucius."
The Elder pointed at Verion's forehead. A white light flowed like a snake toward the Ancient King's Sacred Body. The light entered the heart of the sleeping Ancient King's Sacred Body, and suddenly, a light shone. The Ancient King's Sacred Body began to open its body, its eyes glowing gold, and a large hand appeared to take the Ancient King's Body. Suddenly, the Ancient King's Sacred Body was pulling against itself. The Dark Entity remained silent. The Dark Entity slashed the large hand, making it disappear into particles.
The Elder, "Who is inside you? It rejects my presence and refuses to let me take my body." Verion replied, "Please be honest, Elder! I truly do not know its origin!" The Elder then threw Verion down.
The Elder, "You are a strange young man who has my body inside you and a figure who rejects my presence." Lucius replied, "Teacher, what about the current condition?" The Elder answered, "Don't mind it, I will try to neutralize things here." The Elder turned and returned into the disc, then disappeared.
Verion asked Lucius, "What is happening now? I'm confused by this incident."
Lucius replied, "**Relax, I will explain slowly and tell you something you might not know. You know the Emperor Fall Kingdom? This is where the territory was before the formation of Emperor Fall, called Cu'anxi village, but it became chaotic since the hell creatures invaded. The Elder descended to this territory to eradicate them and help. From the Elder's arrival, this area was named Emperor Fall, meaning Fallen Emperor. The Dark Entity inside you is very beautiful. It transforms its appearance as you imagine it when it communicates with you or helps you; perhaps that beautiful form is its true self? Its form is a beautiful woman with reddish-brown hair, dark eyes, dressed like an Empress, and about 179 cm tall."
Verion was confused and curious, "Beautiful woman with reddish-brown hair?... 179 cm tall?...The characteristics are the same as Mother's (Fan'Qiu).Ah... don't theorize, at least I know."
Birds chirped and clustered, leaves fell, and a frog caught a small fish. Verion woke up because the sunlight was dazzling him. "Hooaam~..." Verion opened his eyes. "?!" He was surprised to see Lucius's face in front of him. "AH! Why are you here!?"
Lucius replied, "That's not important, hey. Hurry up and get up and wash your face." Verion got up, went out, and down to a nearby river. Lucius was practicing archery with his bow and arrows made of light. "Not bad," Lucius said.
Verion asked, "Why did last night's dream feel so very real?" Lucius replied, "It wasn't a dream, your soul was being called. I realized your soul was resonating while you slept. Your dark entity said: 'His soul is being called, try entering his consciousness.' So I entered your mind and tried to reflect my form." Outside of all that, Verion's sleeping body had a glowing gold crystal symbol on his forehead.
Verion, "I wonder what the dark entity is doing to my body." Lucius said, "Last night's dream might be a clue for your Ancient King's Sacred Body?" Verion, "Forget it. Let's hunt something for breakfast." Lucius gave a thumbs up.
They both hunted fish. Verion, "Lucius, start a fire." Lucius replied, "I am light, not fire!" Verion replied again, "**Idiot! Use your light to heat it up!" Lucius was annoyed but did it anyway. Verion skewered fish for himself and Lucius. "Wait, I'll find mushrooms to sprinkle on the fish." Verion found the Olgaba mushroom and took enough. Verion brought both back to the original spot. Lucius, "I'll grill the fish first, then you sprinkle it when the fish is half-cooked." The fish was cooked. Lucius ate it. "That mushroom is good, it tastes salty, savory, slightly sweet, and has a spicy pepper sensation." Verion took his fish and ate it. "Hot, hot!" Lucius, "Slow down, idiot."
Verion, "Let's leave here." Lucius nodded. Verion walked. Lucius flew like a spirit following Verion. "Don't block the way." Lucius descended from his flight to walk. Verion activated his mask. "That mask is unique and very sophisticated," Lucius said, but Verion just remained silent. Lucius was annoyed.
They both walked together. From a distance, a vague shadow of thick fog with a large mountain was visible. Verion saw the faint shadow of a tower for a moment before it was covered by thick fog. "What is that shadow?" Lucius replied, "I see a tower that's... leaning, what is that? That tower is very far." Verion asked Lucius, "Is there no way to get there?"
Lucius thought hard. "Hmmm... ah, how about the Omni Technique?" Verion was confused, "What is the Omni Technique?" Lucius replied, "The Omni Technique is a technique taught by the Elder Teacher to overcome travel distance. I remember his teachings and wrote them in my book." Lucius created a book and gave it to Verion. "Unbelievable, Lucius, did you write the teachings in gold?" Lucius answered, "No, I wrote it with my finger. Just study the teachings first. It seems easy for you to learn."
Verion immediately tried the steps carefully. "I'll catch up with you, relax." Verion moved to the final step, running as described in the book. "Wo-woaaahhh!" In an instant, Verion was already at the top of the mountain he wanted to reach. Verion covered himself with his cloak again. He looked back. "Luciuss!! Come here!" he shouted. Verion was confused and looked behind him. Lucius appeared mysteriously. Verion was shocked. "?!" and immediately punched Lucius in the face. Lucius was hurt. "Hey! Why did you punch me!" Verion replied, "Don't startle me, idiot! Let's explore this place." Lucius answered, still annoyed, "I'll just enter your body." Verion's expression was flat.
Verion descended from the mountain peak, stepping on rock cliffs until he landed on the gray-black ground with dry, barren trees and poisonous green water.
"What kind of place is this! And the fog is thick. System, please enhance my vision so I can see clearly within this thick fog." The System replied, "Command executed. System increases the Master's lighting and clarity of vision." Lucius inside Verion said, "Is it safe here?" Verion replied, "How should I know? Do you think I'm a future teller? Just come out and see, you're just a soulless being anyway."
Lucius came out flying while observing the surrounding environment. "Are there monsters here?" Verion, "I don't know. Let's move forward, our goal is that tower."
They both walked forward. Suddenly, a tentacle attacked them both. Verion dodged, summoned his sword, and sliced the tentacle instantly. "?! Enemy!" Lucius's hand was tangled by the tentacle. "How can a tentacle touch me!" The tentacle kept wrapping around his hand. Then Lucius pulled the tentacle, and a giant spider monster with tentacle legs was pulled from the air toward them both. Verion and Lucius were shocked.
With a quick response, Verion immediately cut the tentacle wrapped around Lucius's hand. "Quickly, get inside the body!" Verion ran to the right before the monster's body could crush him. BOOM!
The monster fell but continued to extend its tentacles to attack Verion. Verion kept running and avoiding attacks, parrying, and trying to get closer to the spider monster by climbing the tentacles it used to attack him. The spider monster released an orange ball with purple radiation, launching it at Verion. Verion jumped, unleashed an X-shaped slash at the ball, resulting in an explosion in the air. Verion was thrown back down.
The monster's tentacle attacked Verion. Verion held it and parried it, running closer again, climbing tentacle by tentacle, and running on top of them. "I will help you!" said Lucius, who then flew, creating a bow. He began targeting the monster with his arrows. The monster launched a tentacle attack at him, but Verion threw his sword at the tentacle to stop it from attacking Lucius. Verion then jumped and grabbed his thrown sword again, landing on the spider-monster's head, stabbing his sword into its forehead. The spider monster raged, trying to shake Verion off, but he held on.
Lucius, with his ready arrow, unleashed the shadow of a gold dragon with white flowing eyes. Verion jumped, released his sword, pushed the monster's head down, and backed away. Lucius released his arrow; the large arrow quickly pierced the spider-monster's forehead and created an explosion. The spider-monster's body fell, and its head was shattered. Verion threw his sword into the ground and landed himself on top of his embedded sword.
Lucius approached Verion. "That monster is dead." Verion, "Wait, why do I always summon my sword? Instead of just keeping it." Lucius answered, "Your sword, when not in use by you, will decompose by the air and vanish." Verion said to Lucius, "I need a sheath to put my sword in so I don't have to summon it again, is there one here?" Lucius answered, "No need, I will create one for you." Lucius created a sheath for Verion to wear on his back and a white and gold scabbard. "Very nice, thank you. Let's walk again, you go inside."
Lucius entered Verion's body. Verion then continued walking through the thick fog. He saw the vague shadow of a tower wall with a gate. "Ah, it's close!" Verion ran. The more he ran, the more the shadow seemed to remain the same distance. Lucius said, "The fog is so thick! I can't see the shadow of that tower." Verion stopped and realized. He drew his sword and unleashed a slash forward. The vision split, the shadow disappeared, merging with the fog. Verion looked up, seeing a black eye with white color staring at him. "?! Monster!"
The monster slapped its hand down. Verion dodged backward, launching many slashes toward the monster, but the slashes passed through it, and the monster regenerated very quickly. "I will try to come out," said Lucius. He came out. Verion said, "This monster is immune to physical attacks."
Lucius flew toward the monster. "I will try to use my radiation to heat this monster so it turns into vapor and merges with the air!" He flew in front of the monster, forming his two palms like mirrors, channeling his light inward, forming a beam. The monster lunged an attack at Lucius. "Watch out!" Verion shouted. But Lucius launched his beam at the attacking monster's hand. The hand burned and turned into vapor that vanished, but the monster regenerated it again. "Okay! My thesis is proven. You can regenerate, I will end this quickly!"
Lucius pushed his hands forward. The beam turned into root-like threads that were controlled and sharp like blades. The monster attacked again with its hand. Lucius launched his beams, the threads of light cut the fog monster's hand and burned it into vapor, then spread across the entire monster and cut it, leaving many glowing yellow line marks. The monster was cut into small pieces and finally burned away and vanished. Verion watching from below was surprised. "It worked?!"
After the monster was defeated, the thick fog disappeared. Lucius descended. "So this monster was the cause of this fog?" Verion replied, "Let's keep walking, the important thing is that we defeated it." Lucius entered Verion's body. Verion put his sword away. "Your beam did affect that fog monster," Verion said to Lucius. Lucius replied, "It occurred to me because of what you told me earlier about using my radiation to create fire and create smoke, and then heating it."
Verion asked, "I was running earlier, but it felt like I was running in place." Lucius replied, "You were hypnotized by that monster." While walking, Verion saw a wall and a large gate that was slightly open, emitting light. "Is this fake or not?" Lucius said, "I see it too." Verion ran to the gate, then walked slowly, observing what the gate actually was.
The System replied suddenly, "Sound detected—sound detected, object detected." Verion asked, "What is it?!" The System replied, "There is something inside, Master." Then Verion pulled the gate handle slowly. Slowly, the inside revealed a corridor with statues of skeleton warriors inside and decorative lamps.
