LOGAN'S POV.
Lucius's fist came crashing into my jaw again and again, and I swear I saw stars. My back slammed against the mattress about three times that I had tried to stand up and he straddled me, his weight pressing down on my chest so hard I could barely breathe.
Every hit that followed burned hotter, angrier…like he was trying to punch the body swap right out of existence.
"Lucius…stop!" I gasped, trying to block his punches with my arms, but he was stronger, heavier, and, worst of all, furious.
I could hear Diana's small, trembling sobs somewhere behind us. Her voice shook through the air like the sound of breaking glass. "Please, stop! You're hurting him! Please, Master Logan, stop!"
Her words struck me right in the gut. She called him Logan…because to her, he was me. The irony was bitter as she was begging me to stop hurting myself, without even realizing it.
