"Because we're in the Mesosphere, which is the coldest part of the atmosphere," Cinister explained.
While they were talking, they didn't notice that someone or maybe something was watching them.
"Look behind you!" Ragna yelled as he activated Bubble and parried a dark silhouette.
"Quick, use our Conjoined Nexus!" Cinister said.
"Okay!" Ragna said as he cast [Aqua Blades], and Cinister cast [Ashen Veil].
But the attacks weren't in sync, and the silhouette broke the spells and ate Cinister's arm and Ragna's leg.
"What is that, and why is it so strong?!" Alya said.
"Well, every floor has its own size, but for creatures to survive, they need to be at least stronger than their current floor. So if we're on Floor 12, which is roughly the size of an island-" Cinister said.
"This thing is probably stronger than all the previous floors combined," Ragna continued.
Cinister used [Ashen Veil] to heal their wounds and to finally reveal the dark silhouette, and it revealed it was
["Squibbo the Shattered"]
Which was going to destroy the spell. Ragna quickly used [Bubble] to parry it.
"What is that octopus-man-looking thing?" Alya said in disbelief.
The [Ashen Veil] finally healed the missing limbs.
"This is a Squibbo, or a human-octopus hybrid with four tentacles, but for some reason he uses only two," Ragna said.
"When did you become an aquamarine?" Cinister asked.
"Because I love water" Ragna said proudly as he pointed to himself.
The Squibbo used a SwiftGale Nexus to manipulate the water around them into an arena.
"This is a better place to fight, but I only need one fighter," the Squibbo said in a raspy voice as he pointed to Ragna.
"You fit the bill," he continued.
The Squibbo used the water to throw Cinister and Alya away from the fight.
"Be safe, okay?" Cinister said.
"Why do you worry as if I'd lose?" Ragna said confidently.
"Where did this pride come from?" Cinister said.
"From your ascension, obviously," Ragna pointed out.
As Cinister and Alya were thrown through the water, the Squibbo said, "You sure are cocky, but at the guild there were quests, remember?"
"Yeah, what about them?" Ragna said.
"My quest is considered B-tier."
"And I don't care" Ragna said as he used [Arcmail] to make a lighting aromour and charges at the Squibbo
The Squibbo backed up and struck Ragna in the back but the tentacles got paralyzed and backed off
"Huh, so that's your shtick," the Squibbo said.
"Yeah, now I get it," Ragna said. "If you are B-tier, then that must mean I am S-tier."
"You sure are cocky. You're not even close," the Squibbo said.
Then, in a split second, the Squibbo's head was chopped clean off.
"A job well done, I'd say," Ragna said.
But as he was boasting, the Squibbo started regenerating his head.
"I must say, your strength is admirable, but the mushrooming effect that it has on your body must be high," the Squibbo said.
"Oh, you mean downsides? Nah, I don't have those," Ragna answered.
The Squibbo had enough of his prideful attitude and shot out his tentacles at Ragna.
"Ha, I don't fall for the same trick, twice" Ragna said, but little did he know the tentacles surrounded him and shot Aqua Spikes that destroyed his armor.
The spiked started piercing his body but Ragna didn't flinch.
The Squibbo thought that Ragna would give up until his tentacles were destroyed in a second and there he was Ragna with [Arcmail] mastery 2
[Arcmail] mastery 2 - makes the armour bulkier and more resistant to meele attacks but it's way more energy dependant
"Now this is quite peculiar" the Squibbo admired
"Yeah this is quite interesting" Ragna said
Then he charged at the Squibbo, which he finally used his other two tentacles to trap Ragna but the output of the lighting armour was too profound
"NOW YOU DIE!" Ragna shouted
But the Squibbo didn't say anything he just stood there. As Ragna prepared the final blow the Squibbo exploded.
Fortunately Ragna wasn't hurt because of the armour but the explosion shattered his armour.
"I gave you too little credit but still wasn't enough for me" Ragna said
But the arena that was made by the Squibbo disappeared and the water poured on Ragna
"Damn" Ragna thought "This is annoying"
Ragna used his Aqualith Nexus to control the water and saw that the Sqibbo dropped a scroll
"Ah finally a new move I was started to think that I would never see one" Ragna says as he opened the scroll and it said
{CHOSE ANY MOVE TO GO TO THE NEXT MASTERY}
"I know just the one" Ragna said as he choose Aqua Blades
[Aqua Blades]-now the limit is 300 blades and each one slows down the enemy.
"I wonder how Cinister and Alya are doing I should probably check on them" Ragna says as he lays down to rest for a bit
With Cinister and Alya
"Are you okay Alya" Cinister asked
"Yeah I'm fine" Alya said blushing a bit
We look up and see a Giant Sea creature that looks like a Sperm whale
"Holy Moly" Alya said
"Yeah I'm with you on this one" Cinister says
The Whales sees us and swing his tail to make a wind vortex
"[Pyroclasm] mastery 2" Cinister casted making the Wind ot target the fire and redirecting it to the Whale but that doesn't do much
"Damn" Cinister said "ALYA!"
Alya then appears from her sneak ability and stabs the Whale but it shakes her off
"[FireRing Double]" Cinister casts and goes up to the Whale with a jump
"[Jetburts]" Cinister casts and goes through the Whale but it heals immediately and it goes to eat Cinister
But with his fast reflexes he used [Jetburst] and jumped up at lighting speed and uses it again to hit it's head to break his jaw
"Yeah let's go" Cinister said but the whale did a strange noise and from white it turned into a gray Whale
"Oh you have to be kidding" Cinister said as he watched the slick transformation.
