And then—
A bunch of question marks practically floated above the Touch-Sense Demon's head.
What the hell were these humans doing?
They'd stopped in an open clearing, and Yun Jin pulled out a pile of materials. A naked little boy ran back and forth, busy as could be.
"Are they... trying to set up a formation?" one demon asked suspiciously.
"Pointless! No formation can block the Blood Moon's corrosion," another snapped.
"These humans must be desperate."
The demons muttered among themselves, but soon enough, a formation actually took shape before their eyes. What the hell kind of formation was this?
A strange, uneasy feeling rippled through the watching demons. Then, the humans who'd been most heavily affected by the Blood Moon stepped into the formation—and vanished.
"What... what the hell? That's a teleportation array?!"
One of the demons froze, dumbfounded.
Had the humans gone insane?
You don't just throw down a random teleportation array in the middle of nowhere!
Teleportation formations were rare even in the Human Realm. Outside of Sky City, you'd hardly find one anywhere. Not only was spatial power notoriously hard to control, but the materials required to set up such an array were insanely rare.
And yet here Yun Jin was, casually pulling out a bunch of materials, while that naked little kid just—casually finished setting it up?!
The Touch-Sense Demon's eyes went red. He ground his teeth and hissed, "Those humans must be retreating. They're scared of us! But the Blood Moon's corrosion can't be undone so easily. We'll strike back while they're weak, and this time, we'll crush them completely—"
He hadn't even finished his sentence when the teleportation array flashed again.
A new group appeared.
Di Xiao stepped out from the array, leading countless spirit beasts from the Spirit Beast Forest.
Every demon went silent.
Spirit beasts?!
The spirit beasts had joined the war?!
Right.
They'd almost forgotten—this Spirit Beast King had declared his intention to fight alongside the humans long ago.
"What do we do now?"
The demons all turned toward the Ten Great Demon Generals.
The Evil-Eye Demon General's expression darkened. "No need to rush. Those spirit beasts can't hold out for long either. Half a month at most, before they're corroded by the Blood Moon. Then we'll strike back. The ones resting easy right now... are us."
"Yeah. All we gotta do is wait."
The demons settled down again, regaining their confidence.
Then the Touch-Sense Demon General frowned. "Wait, look. Some of the humans didn't leave."
They glanced over.
Sure enough—Yun Jin, Ji Wusi, and the rest of the human top experts were still there, along with a handful of ordinary cultivators.
What was this?
Hadn't they been corroded by the Blood Moon too?
From the outside they looked fine, but the Blood Moon's corruption ate from within. It wasn't something you could see easily. Still... under the Blood Moon, only demons could survive unharmed. Every other race was bound to be corroded.
Those who stayed behind must just be holding on by sheer will.
"Well, that's even better," the Parasite Demon General said with a grin. "Ji Wusi and the others are just digging their own graves. Maybe they'll die off before we even have to lift a claw."
"Good point!"
The demons started laughing again.
"Senior Di," Yun Jin said with a small smile. "I'll be troubling you next."
Di Xiao nodded, his body shimmering as a thin protective layer spread over him.
When Yun Jin had obtained the technique to resist the Blood Moon's corruption, she'd made sure to share it with everyone outside.
A genius like Di Xiao had already mastered it.
Yun Jin also released his two spirit beasts. When Di Ying saw her brother, she looked to Yun Jin for permission, then ran over happily to reunite with him.
Yun Mu, on the other hand, refreshed everyone's buffs.
"Let's go. Next gathering point."
Everything ready, the group set off again.
Another half month passed. This time, the main force doing the fighting were the spirit beasts.
The low-tier demons were wiped out almost completely. Every stronghold across the battlefield was crushed. Only a few scattered lower demons were left wandering the wastelands, and their numbers were so small they barely mattered.
Inside the Demon Palace—
Everyone stared fixedly at the projected image.
Another half month had passed. Those spirit beasts should've been eaten away by the Blood Moon's corruption by now. Let's see what tricks those humans had left.
Just like before, Yun Jin started setting up another teleportation array.
The demons didn't even blink, afraid to miss a single detail.
"The central region's basically just humans and spirit beasts left. Let's see what they do this time," one demon sneered.
"It's our turn to strike soon!"
Most of the spirit beasts left through the array, but Di Xiao and a few others stayed behind.
"Well, well. Looks like another batch of idiots chose death. Ji Wusi and the rest have been under corruption for a month—they've gotta be at their limit!"
"Our patience is paying off!"
The demons laughed again.
Then, before they could finish celebrating, the once-empty teleportation array started flashing—again.
Demons: "???"
Who the hell was it this time?!
There's no way the previous humans could've cured the Blood Moon's corruption in just half a month!
"Greetings, King of the East Sea."
Countless sea beasts bowed respectfully to Yun Jin.
The three great races of the Eastern Sea—the Abyssal Merfolk, the Nether Turtles, and the Blue-Scaled Sirens—stood at the front, leading a massive host of aquatic beasts. Every single one of them radiated power, standing ready for Yun Jin's command.
Even though the sea beasts' power was weakened on land, there were just too damn many of them.
Even one Eastern Sea had more area than all the continents combined, and this wasn't even their full army. The number that came was already staggering.
The demons watched the endless tide of sea beasts with trembling lips.
So many...
There was only one explanation.
The Boundless Sea.
The beasts of the Boundless Sea hadn't set foot on land for countless years. And now they'd all come ashore—to fight the demons? Heaven help them, the demon race had never provoked the Boundless Sea!
Silence filled the hall.
After a long pause, one demon muttered, "...Those sea beasts seem to be following Yun Jin's orders."
"It only looks that way. There's no way sea beasts would truly obey a human. Just wait, something's bound to go wrong."
So they waited.
Another half month passed. The mid-tier demons were nearly wiped out. Yet those sea beasts still followed Yun Jin's orders without question.
No rebellion. No hesitation.
Silence fell again.
Yun Jin set up yet another teleportation array.
The Touch-Sense Demon General took a deep breath. "Those sea beasts are corroded too! This time, it has to be the end!"
"Right! No way anyone else's coming! Soon, we'll launch our full counterattack, we'll—"
Before he could finish, the teleportation array flared once more.
Every demon fell silent.
You've got to be kidding me.
Again?!
