Chapter 855 - The Final Battle

It didn't take long for the human side to sort out their roles.

"Humans! You've come too deep into the Demon Domain this time. None of you will be leaving alive. Our Demon—"

Before the demon could finish, a sword light tore through the air.

Ji Wusi struck without warning.

The demon's expression twisted in disbelief as he stumbled back, only to watch one of his arms get sliced clean off. What the hell? This bastard doesn't even follow the rules of combat!

Ji Wusi's sword light expanded, enveloping five demon generals in one sweep.

The other demons tried to rush forward to help, but Yun Jin smiled faintly. A chain appeared out of nowhere, cutting through the battlefield and blocking their path.

Her chain looped through the air and trapped the remaining five demon generals inside. "Your opponents," she said, "are me."

The expressions of all ten demon generals shifted at once.

What's going on?!

In their plans, Yun Jin and Ji Wusi should've already been half-devoured by the Blood Moon's corruption. They were supposed to be barely standing by now. But the moment they clashed, it became clear—neither had weakened. If anything, they were even sharper than before.

"You… you've found a way to resist the Blood Moon's corrosion?" one demon general asked through gritted teeth.

"You talk too much." Ji Wusi's voice was cold as he unleashed another barrage of sword light, attacking all five demon generals at once.

Yun Jin chuckled quietly. Her teacher sure was competitive. As his disciple, there was no way she could fall behind.

Two peak battles ignited in the sky at the same time.

Bai Yiran raised her hand, and walls of ice spread outward like blooming frost. "I'll take the Evil Eye Clan," she said, leading her group of cultivators into battle.

All around them, top-tier experts picked their own opponents.

The rest of the humans and demons clashed head-on. Without warning, the ultimate battle between both races began.

Yun Jin had left Di Ying and Yun Mu behind on the battlefield.

Aside from the humans, other powerful races that had learned to resist the Blood Moon's corruption joined the fray as well.

Di Ying and Di Xiao fought side by side. Their combined attack shook the heavens and shattered the earth.

Su Yuan Zhēnzūn raised her hand, and the ground trembled. Massive boulders fell like meteors, crushing everything beneath them. In an instant, a whole section of the demon army was wiped out.

The sea beasts of the three great races weren't about to fall behind. Each unleashed their divine powers, sending shockwaves through the battlefield.

In no time, the demon death toll was skyrocketing.

The human cultivators noticed and immediately panicked. Wait, those demon heads… aren't just trophies. They count as military merits too!

If the demons were wiped out before they could score any kills, where would their achievements come from?! So, naturally, they went berserk.

The demons soon realized that the humans had suddenly gone crazy, attacking with even greater ferocity. At one point, a single demon found himself surrounded by several human cultivators. He stood in the middle, trembling, while the humans argued among themselves.

"Let's be reasonable, I saw this demon first. By rights, he's mine."

"So what if you saw him first? I was the first one to charge."

"Yeah? But I was the first to land a hit!"

"Shut up already. I'll kill this one. Next one's yours."

"Why the hell should we agree to that?"

The demon stood there speechless. Honestly… being fought over like this didn't feel great at all.

"Stop arguing! If you keep it up, the rest of the demons will all be dead before we get a turn. We'll take turns, alright? You get this one, someone else gets the next. No stealing kills!"

The group quickly reached an agreement.

The demon roared in fury. He hadn't even agreed to this! He let out a furious howl and charged forward, only to be bombarded by a barrage of artifacts. Finally, the chosen human stepped up and lopped off his head with a single stroke.

"Quick, find the next demon!"

The battlefield descended into chaos.

The demons, overwhelmed by the humans' madness, started to panic. Something wasn't right. This was supposed to be an even match, wasn't it?

So why did it look like a one-sided slaughter now?! When had the humans grown this powerful?

The already blood-red wasteland turned into a sea of gore. The scent of blood filled the air and painted the horizon crimson.

In the Cold Moon Demon Clan, Na Jia gritted her teeth as she glanced up at the sky.

High above, Yun Jin alone was holding off five demon generals—and she still looked completely at ease.

Na Jia tightened her grip on her blade, despair creeping into her heart. The first time she'd met Yun Jin, the woman had only been in the Tribulation stage. How long had it been since then? Yet Yun Jin had already reached this terrifying level.

Was it because of the treasure she obtained in that trial space? Was that how she'd advanced so quickly?

Na Jia bit down hard, channeling all her spiritual power, and shouted, "Yun Jin once obtained a supreme treasure in a trial space! That treasure can raise a cultivator's strength to its peak in a short time! Whoever kills her, the treasure is yours!"

Her voice tore through the sky, raw and desperate.

They said humans were greedy by nature, didn't they?

She was setting a trap, gambling on their greed. There was no way the humans were truly that united. A treasure that could make someone that powerful, that fast—how could anyone resist?

Even Ji Wusi would be tempted, wouldn't he?

If anyone struck Yun Jin from behind, the demons might just have a chance to recover.

Na Jia finished shouting, then looked around expectantly at the human cultivators.

Had they heard her? Didn't they want to become as strong as Yun Jin?

Then go for it—kill her!

But to her dismay, no one paid her any attention.

Some glanced her way, then simply went back to slaughtering demons.

Na Jia froze, unable to understand.

Why?

In the Demon Clan, anyone carrying such a treasure would've been swarmed by their own kind in seconds. Were these humans really so free of greed?

Unwilling to accept it, Na Jia opened her mouth to shout again.

Yun Jin glanced down between sword strikes. Seeing Na Jia, she smiled faintly. "Na Jia, remember what I said? If I ever see you again, I'll kill you."

Na Jia's pupils shrank. They were in the Demon Domain, with five demon generals empowered by the Blood Moon. Yet Yun Jin still had the leisure to deal with her?

A chill spread through Na Jia's heart. Terror clawed at her chest. She turned to flee.

Yun Jin's gaze stayed calm. She flicked her wrist, sending a strand of spiritual power after Na Jia.

It hit instantly.

A heartbeat later, there was a muffled boom.

The Cold Moon demon expert exploded into nothing but fragments.

Na Jia didn't even have time for a final scream before she turned to dust.

"Still have time to get distracted, do you?" one of the demon generals snarled, and the five of them lunged toward Yun Jin again.
