Chapter 25 - Chapter 25. An Angel That Saves Even A Demon

Shun shook his head, 'Let's calm down. I'll repel that death flag with my paws!'

'With my specs if I can't defeat Deliora, I deserve to die.' Shun hardened his resolve then walked towards the sealed Deliora once again.

When he got close enough, he spread both of his hands, then touched the Iced Shell directly with his paws.

*POP-!* *POP-!* the usual sound of repelling resounded in the area.

Slowly the Iced Shell began to melt… not into a water but a magic power fragments slowly and steadily.

Ultear bit her nails, her heart pounding as five agonizing minutes slipped by. She prayed for a miracle. Unable to bear the suspense any longer, she squeezed her eyes shut. The plan was for Shun to signal her upon success, but after the rhythmic POP-s fell silent, so had he. The silence was terrifying.

Finally, she gathered her courage and stared at the scene…

There stood Shun and… a naked woman lying in front of Shun.

{Ur's picture… not naked obviously}

When she was in an agonizing anxiety, the reason he was silent was because he wanted to look at her mother's naked figure?! The reality was so outrageous, that it almost made her laugh.

"You… seriously… at a moment like this!" Ultear couldn't finish her words

*ROAR-!!*

The beast has woken up.

It woke the trio of Shun, Ultear and Ur up.

'Thanks for the save!' Shun was very happy to escape a scolding he even thought of giving the demon less painful death.

"Ughh, what happened to me?" Ur said

Shun pulled out a blanket from his storage ring and gave Ur one last look then said.

"Ultear! Take your mother to safety. I'll take care of this monster." Shun shouted with a sense of 'heroism' and urgency

Ultear knew what he was doing, but listened to his words without complaining. She took the blanket and wrapped her mother in it. Now really wasn't the time.

Ultear carried her mother in a bridal style and ran on the air with the help of Shun's paws.

Seeing them safely get inside the paw-bubble. Shun finally turned his towards the annoying roaring demon.

"Shut up already, I know you are an intelligent being. Speak with your words, instead of roaring like an idiot."

When Deliora heard that a little brat was provoking him, it got even angrier.

*ROARRRR-!* his roars got louder and he rushed towards Shun. His fist targeting Shun.

"Big brother!" Lisanna shouted with worry, her eyes already tearing up

"Let me go, I'll save that kid!" Ur shouted, she still didn't realize it was her daughter beside her.

"Don't bother, that thing has no chance against Shun. Mom…" When Ultear said this Ur finally took a glance at the face of the one who carried her to this weird magical space

"…"

"You are—" Ur couldn't believe her eyes, she was already tearing up. She immediately hugged her daughter. Even if it was a dream she didn't want to waste a single moment…

——

Back to the battle.

Deliora, as expected hadn't died like the because it's still four years before the original timeline.

Seeing the massive fist heading towards him.

Everyone in the paw-bubble who didn't know about Shun's magic thought he had a trump card to use against Deliora.

However to their shock, Shun raised his own palm and met his punch…

"Is he insane?!" Mirajane and Ur commented at the same time while Lisanna closed her eyes in fright

"No sister, he is a true man!" Elfman defended Shun…

When the gigantic fist met Shun's paw. A comedic sight of an ant swatting the elephant away happened. Deliora was hit by his own momentum and was sent away to a mountain far away. Crushing the mountain. *ROAR-!* it screamed in pain and confusion.

'What just happened?! I admit that I was too angry for being sealed for three whole years and attacked without thinking. But I always attacked without thinking before. And I Always won the clashes!' Deliora refused to admit his defeat, he stood up in anger and smashed the mountain around him, completely shattering it in pieces. The once mountain had become a plain.

Then Deliora opened his mouth and gathered giant energy ball then aimed it at Shun. The energy ball was deadly, its power wasn't hard to guess. A hundred percent death if not dodged!

That would've been the case if his opponent wasn't Shun.

Shun thought about clashing with that beam with his breath of the poison dragon. But he concluded that his attack would likely lose. So what should he do…?

Simple, just dodge it. When the energy ball was sent towards Shun. The whole city of Brago completely disappeared from the continent. Only a dead plain area remained. Shun was nowhere to be seen.

The audience on the sky once again panicked. This time even Sorano and Ultear felt uneasy. After all Shun completely disappeared. However they calmed down after realizing that their paw-bubble was still there meaning Shun dodged and went into hiding!

A guttural, deep sound was heard from Deliora's mouth.

"Is that monster perhaps laughing?" Sorano guessed

"I think so…"

After a minute of laughing, Deliora calmed down

At first he was very angry, after all he was sealed for years by a weakling mage. All because he had let his guard down. Then he got provoked by a dumb brat. Killing him with the damned place where he was sealed completely satisfied him.

Then he looked towards the sky, where the paw-bubble was floating. Then he started gathering another energy ball.

"Oh no, he noticed us!" The audience at the sky panicked, but in the next second Deliora's body was swatted away… but they were no one around him.

A collective gasp rippled through the airborne audience, but the most stunned of all was Deliora itself.

"What?!" the demon roared, its mind reeling. It was happening again—that same, humiliating force that had swatted it into a mountain mere minutes ago. This time, its massive body was sent careening through the air, but before it could collide with anything, another blow struck from a completely different angle.

"Again?!" Deliora bellowed, a tremor of something unfamiliar—fear—seeping into its fury. "I cannot see him! What is this?!"

It was no longer a battle; it was a symphony of violence, choreographed at a speed that defied perception. The third impact launched Deliora skyward, and the demon felt its legendary durability finally crack. But before gravity could exert its pull, Shun was there—a flicker of motion, another brutal strike from his paw sending the demon hurtling sideways. Then he was above, a devastating downward slam. To the left, to the right, from above and below, Shun was everywhere and nowhere at once.

Deliora was no longer a fearsome demon; it had been reduced to a puppet, its strings cut by an invisible master. Each blow landed with the sickening crunch of breaking bone and splintering armor. Its absolute defense, a legend that had terrified nations, was rendered utterly useless. Its desperate flailing was pathetic, a futile attempt to hit an opponent it couldn't even perceive.

The audience hovering in the sky watched in utter silence, the eerie spectacle stripping away their hatred and replacing it with a cold, creeping pity for the demonic entity being dismantled before their eyes.

Sorano and Ultear exchanged a look, a weak, awkward smile passing between them. "It seems," Sorano murmured, her voice barely a whisper, "we were fools to assume we knew the limits of his strength."

After hundreds of devastating blows, Shun finally stilled. He looked at the broken form of the demon before him, a pang of unexpected sorrow in his chest. My goodwill toward Deliora is real, he thought. He never harmed me. In his own way, he helped me, he showed me an amazing sight before our battle and even saved me from a scolding after that. Truly a selfless individual. It's such a pity that we are enemies.

Shun mourned Deliora's fate…

With a quiet sigh, he released his invisibility and looked up toward the sky. "Mira! Come down. It's time."

Mirajane jolted as Shun materialized out of thin air. They hadn't seen a single trace of him until that very moment. Swallowing her shock, she nodded and, with Ultear's steadying help—her paw boots still granting purchase—she carefully descended from the floating bubble.

When their feet touched the ground and they approached Deliora, the sight was jarring. The once-terrifying demon was now a shattered husk, utterly motionless like a discarded puppet.

"Use your Take Over, Mira," Shun said, his voice gentle. "Take his soul."

There was no fear in Mirajane's steps as she closed the distance. The creature before her was no longer a monster, but a pitiable thing. Placing her hands upon him, she began to consume his soul. In his final moments, a flicker of Deliora's will did not resist but seemed to welcome her—a final, silent thanks to the angelic being who had saved him from his own eternal torment. Because of this, when the day came for Mirajane to call upon his power, she would find no resistance, only a strange and settled harmony.
