One second of dry fire that I fired using GECAL 50 ended in failure and missed my target.
Perhaps it was my fault, relying solely on the small mechanical sights and the GECAL 50 rocking recoil on the unstable terrain. Even in a stopped Humvee, the rocking from the GECAL 50 recoil was so noticeable that my accuracy was off.
I didn't expect it to hit the target in one second of shooting, though.
Even if it hit the target in one shot, It would definitely I have used the luck of a year of my life in this difficult situation.
"How far off is the shot, Portia?" I asked Portia, trying to adjust the small aiming point in front of me.
I could have gotten into the Humvee and used the camera sensors to shoot accurately, but that would have been a waste of time, since I'd have had to recalibrate from manual to remote-control settings.
"A little bit up... it will be level with one of the black wolves that looks like the Alpha bodyguard," replied Doctor Portia while glancing at me.
