As Liebe composed himself, he said, "I'm OK." As the pain vanished, Lumos said, "What happened?"
Liebe said, "I don't know what happened. The mask forced itself on me, and I teleported out of there."
Fate said, "Currently, damage to the F91 is minimal. Only severed limbs—can be repaired."
Liebe said, "Fate, are you OK?"
Fate said, "Maestro, I'm fine."
Liebe said, "Good. And Fang and Titan are here. How many tricks does that thing have?"
Licht said, "Well, we don't have much time. That's the issue."
Alysa said, "About 550 hours till it reaches the capital."
Liebe said, "Zen, evacuate the citizens. And how is the progress on the final defence line?"
Zen said, "It's working, I suppose. But we have lost the Zenatal and the terradons. If it's traveling underground, we can't track it now that Argo is gone."
Liebe said, "We don't have a choice. But what about the royal family?"
Zen said, "The king said they aren't evacuating. If the citizens are pawns, then they themselves are sacrificial pieces."
Liebe said, "Damn. Now then, what's the situation?"
Zen said, "Currently, we are about 35,000 strong, with 12 divisional commanders and 1 chief warrior. Yet none of them are comparable to the 25 princes or even to their personal commanders such as you."
Liebe said, "Licht, you focus on recovering. M, help maintain formation of the defence line. Gaia, you are all support. And Alysa, you need to get better."
Alysa said, "I'm fine. These bandages are nothing."
Lumos said, "But—"
Liebe said, "No, they aren't. Heal up."
Alysa said, "Fine. But Liebe—"
Liebe said, "Yeah?"
Alysa said, "You have a tail."
Liebe said, "What?" As he looked, he was in his Ars Goetia form. Liebe said, "Damn. What am I?"
Licht said, "A tail. But you look the same."
Liebe said, "How come you guys get cool looks and I just get a tail?"
Licht said, "Trust me, my friend, Fate can be quite cruel."
Fate said, "I'm standing right here."
Licht said, "Sorry, no offense. I meant destiny."
Later, as everyone was preparing, Licht and the others were in their rooms recovering. Liebe was in Alysa's room. Around 2 AM, Licht woke up and was thirsty. He went to get some water. As he was in the living room, he saw the door to their room was open and Liebe wasn't there. As he went to the hall, he saw light from Alysa's room. As he went to check, he saw Alysa in her bed as Liebe was sitting next to her and reading. Alysa was sleeping on his shoulders. Liebe was reading.
Then the beautiful moonlight cut through the harsh sun, creating a beautiful night sky full of stars.
Licht said, "What are you doing?"
Liebe said, "Reading. We didn't get much time since, you know, so we are enjoying the moment."
Licht said, "She is sleeping."
Liebe said, "I suppose so."
Licht said, "So why are you reading?"
Liebe said, "I suppose being with her now, it feels nice. Since, you know..."
As Alysa woke up and said, "What time is it?" As she saw it was 2 AM, she said, "Liebe, you should go to bed. You have work tomorrow."
Liebe said, "It's OK."
Alysa said, "Don't waste time on me. We have a big battle coming up."
Liebe said, "It's alright. Being with you is always the best part of my day."
Alysa said, "Yeah, but I'm injured. I always get in the way."
Liebe said, "It's alright for you. I don't mind waiting. Specially reading to you. Doesn't matter what we read."
Alysa said, "You should go."
Liebe said, "Fine then. But perhaps after this chapter."
As Licht said, "Well then, good night guys. I will leave you love birds to your thing."
Liebe said, "Damn."
As he went away, Alysa said, "The night sky sure is beautiful tonight."
Liebe said, "Yeah. And watching it together feels nice. Maybe in the future, we will get a chance to enjoy it till dawn."
