Liebe said, "Void Magic: Eternal Impact!" As she hit Liebe with the club, Liebe was sent flying, bleeding, while the club was broken.
As Liebe was on the ground, she said, "Sorry, Liebe, but this is the way things had to end."
Liebe looked at her and smiled as he said, "Yeah, I know. In truth, it hurts. But I'm not going to die yet."
Lilith said, "Void Magic: Black Hole!" As the black hole was about to end Liebe, "Spatial Magic: Different Eternity!" A spatial magic shield blocked it. It was Gelda.
Lilith said, "Gelda, what are you doing?"
Gelda said, "Oh, me? I'm simply doing my job and following my lord."
Lilith said, "Why are you betraying me?"
Gelda said, "Shut up. I'm not betraying anyone. I'm stopping you. Lilith, give up this pointless endeavour. I'm going to end this sick madness."
Liebe stood up and said, "Gelda, this is between me and Lilith. Stay the hell away from it. And thanks for the sewage maps. It helped." As he charged towards Lilith.
Arteos said, "Older Faust, stop this madness!"
Lilith said, "Shut up, Arteos."
Arteos said, "I didn't want to do this, but our second contract allows me to stop you at any point, even if it's just once."
As Lilith's movement became sluggish, yet none of Liebe's attacks did anything.
Arteos said, "How? I should be controlling you now, as per our contract."
Lilith said, "Shut up. As if my will is that weak. Now, Void Magic: Eternal Black Hole!" As a black hole expanded from her body, yet Liebe couldn't stop it fully. He was bleeding heavily now.
Lilith said, "Liebe, stop. You can't win this. The best I can do is end you in a second. I can't allow you to harm Tenebris's memory."
Liebe said, "Shut up. You think Dad would have wanted this? You have some nerve mentioning my dad after abandoning me."
In this clash, it was a battle of swords. Yet even if Liebe's attacks landed, none were hurting. It was just hitting her skin, and that's it. It was no different than trying to cut a titanium wall with a sword. Yet Lilith's attacks were making every bit of impact. She impaled Liebe's shoulder and thigh where Malcor had hit him. She pierced him there with her swords and pushed him, putting him on a wall. Liebe was in pain, being stabbed through the body and pinned to a wall.
She drew her second sword and stabbed him in the other shoulder and other thigh.
Lilith said, "This ends now, Liebe."
As Liebe was using Mercury Magic:
Lilith said, "Void Magic: True Black Hole!" As this attack was also launched against Liebe. The mercury dissolved the swords as Liebe said, "Dark Magic: Ruler's Black!" As he cut through the black hole.
Now Liebe was finally at his wit's end, with little mana left, and 15 seconds until the forbidden spell took place.
Lilith said, "Liebe, I see now. You always find a way, no matter what mercy I attempt to show. But I see it falls on deaf ears. You will never realize the weight of the line you attempted to cross. I'm done holding back." As she let out her magic power, she said, "Void Magic: Grand Black—Dying Star's Wish!" As the darkness began to expand.
Liebe said, "Just 10 seconds left, huh? Dark Magic: Grand Black—Prime Black!"
Gelda said, "Allow me to help."
Liebe said, "Now, True Grand Black—Primal Black!"
As the darknesses clashed head-on, in the end, the spells cancelled each other out. And now the time was up, and the forbidden spell was in motion. People's new memories were in place. Alysa was teleported to the Empire.
Liebe was on the ground, tired and defeated. As Liebe smiled, he thought, Alysa, you are free now. I'm so glad I could heal you. I'm glad I met you. And I'm glad I'm going to die remembering you. At least I kept my memories intact. I've done what I needed. I can now die easy. Heart, you can stop beating now. You have done your job.
Lilith shed a tear as she said, "Liebe, the world doesn't need you anymore. Dark Magic: Grand Black—Dying Star's Wish, once more!" As darkness was expanding.
Liebe saw this and smiled, thinking, It won't be long now. Dad, Grandpa, I'm sorry. Alysa, I couldn't fulfill my promise to watch over your new life. I will watch over you for eternity. You will wake up tomorrow morning in a new world—one where I don't exist. I'm happy you won't have to think about me. Licht, take care of them for me. And Mom... I tried so desperately for a family, yet I forget. Half-breed soldiers like me are for the battlefield. We don't have a future but fighting.
