The Lich King was busy with his books, trying to uncover how to revive the family, while his summoned minions swarmed the area, easily fending off the attacking demons. Adam and Vlad were amazed by the Lich King's power, which effortlessly pushed back the aggressive demons.
The Lich King held the Hands of Death artifact, confirming that it lacked the necessary life force to bring back the dead. Lyra analyzed the situation, looking through the Lich King's ancient books. She determined that the life force needed was equivalent to a thousand lives per person which is an astronomical amount.
Adam suddenly realized something about life force. Just as there was human life force, there was something greater than human life force: the life force that was given to him by Emily. The life force of an immortal Phoenix that was imbued into him since he was young.
"Lyra, is my life force suitable to be used for resurrection?" Adam asked.
Lyra analyzed his unique mana and life force signature. "It is 100% compatible," Lyra stated. "Your life force that was imbued by Emily has significant power to revive all of them. It is also the very reason you were able to survive the unknown lands' mana density as a human."
"How fast can you revive them?" Adam asked the Lich King.
"Master, reviving a true, living soul may take time," the Lich King explained, concern evident in his voice. "I'm not sure if you are able to stay conscious during the period of resurrection. You need to focus all of your energy into it. That would include not being able to use any other skill during the resurrection."
Adam knew the stakes. "Vlad, I need you to protect everyone. I have to bring back all my clones for this. You're the only person I can depend on right now," Adam said, convinced that Vlad was the only hope to protect the civilization during his vulnerability. Adam's clones quickly explained the situation to Azrael and Johan.
"Lyra, can I teleport the humans into my dimension?" Adam asked.
"Negative," Lyra replied. "Since your life force is being used for resurrection, similar life force inside your dimension might be used by accident if you become weak exerting your life force. Their lives would be at risk. Creating an underground location would be more efficient to protect them from the destruction."
The clones immediately got to work, rapidly creating underground cities beneath the surface and teleporting everyone below, including the warriors still unconscious in their evolution stage. Azrael and Johan were stationed outside the civilization, ready to protect it as the final defense.
"Master, don't worry about our location. My minions are more superior than the demons here. Vlad can go help the others," the Lich King confidently stated.
Adam looked at Vlad, putting his hand on his shoulder. "I'm counting on you."
Vlad replied, "I'll make sure to protect everyone to the best of my abilities. Don't worry, you can count on me." Vlad then turned into a red liquid and shot off.
Meanwhile, every clone Adam had dispersed to reduce the number of creatures disappeared, merging back into Adam as he prepared for the resurrection ritual.
