Chapter 13 - Chapter 13: Elias Thorne (13)

Agnes gasped in horror of the scene. "Gods… they're alive, but…"

Elias crouched, dipping his fingers into the water. It was colder than ice, seemed almost like mud yet not, it delivered a slightly sticky sensation to his fingers. He withdrew his hand, shaking off the sensation.

"As he said, though am not 100% sure, but this water seem overly similar to the water in the elevator."

Elias turned towards the Yellow Skin member, "Get them out. once ur done, lay them on the floor, and go outside to call for reinforcements,

Elias removed his gun from his waist as he removed the safety and made sure it was reloaded, he turned to Agnes saying to her

Agnes's eyes widened. "lets go"

Reluctantly, Agnes nodded. The yellow‑skinned teammate muttered something about suicide missions, but began wading into the water, tugging at the nearest resident. Their bodies were heavy, resistant, as though the water itself clung to them

.

Elias turned away, as he and Agnes walked towards the door at the end of the room, opening it, then he and Agnes entered the room as they left the door closed behind them, leaving the Yellow skin guy, as he pulled on the residents one by one.

The 4th floor seemed as though it had suffered a flood with,

The doors opened to a corridor drenched in the Black murky water, it was everywhere, dripping off the ceilings and the walls. the walls slick with moisture that dripped steadily into pools below. The air was thick, vibrating faintly with whispers that weren't quite words. Elias walked forward, with Agnes cautiously following behind him.

At the far end of the corridor, a faint glow pulsed — candlelight, flickering against warped walls. He moved closer, boots splashing softly, until he reached the source.

The hotel basement 4th floor had been transformed into a ritual chamber. Symbols scrawled in black ichor covered the walls, twisting and shifting as though alive. At the centre, knee‑deep in the same dark‑blue water, stood two figures, The girl's parents., before the them was a girl, younger than they expected she seemed to be 11 of age.

Her petite body lay on a desk, a sacrificial knife next to her, The parents stood before her, their faces were pale, stretched unnaturally, eyes glowing faintly with a sickly light. Their mouths moved in unison, chanting in a broken tongue that scraped against Elias's and Agnes mind like claws. Their bodies bore ritual markings, carved deep into flesh, oozing faint streams of the same dark liquid.

Elias pointed his gun at the two while he signalled Agnes, to go rescue the girl

After Agnes left, Elias approached them, his knee sinking in the dark murky water, it seemed darker than one outside, The parents oblivious to the outsider presence continuing chanting as if their life depended on it.

Elias continued walking towards them, and finally stopped when he was at arms length, his gun towards the them, as he spoke

"What is all this,", the parents still did not react to Elias, the body language going off them, as if they where in their own world, Elias seeing them not respond, was about to make a move when Agnes with surprising speed took the girls into her arm's and dashed away, then suddenly the air stalled, as the atmosphere grew darker,
