When Amelia Su asked the question, her gaze instinctively drifted toward the quiet girl sitting at Jade Walker's side—Emily Frost.

Then she pouted dramatically in her heart. Her own president hadn't even introduced her properly.
When they met Lucas last time, Jade had taken the time to formally introduce her. But this time? Nothing.

Even now, Jade casually added, "Yes, Emily's not the vice president. She just manages logistics."
That light, dismissive tone hit Emily like a dagger. She glared at Jade with misty, resentful eyes. If they weren't in the middle of an important meeting, she'd probably throw a small tantrum.
"…Oh," Amelia said quietly.
She nodded, but her nerves didn't ease.
If Emily wasn't the vice president, then who was? If she took the role, would she still have to face this kind of pressure from someone else?
Sensing her unease, Jade decided to speak honestly.
"The other vice president slot is actually still vacant."
Amelia's eyes widened. Jade smiled gently and continued, "We're actively trying to recruit someone, but he's still considering the offer. He hasn't accepted yet."
"…Oh?" Amelia blinked, then hesitantly asked, "Who is it… if you don't mind me asking?"
She tried to sound casual, but her heart was racing.

"His name is Lucas." Jade answered with a knowing smile. "I believe you know him."
Amelia's heart skipped a beat.
She remembered the moment vividly—during the battle for the Secret Realm, when everyone turned against Lucas, and she had chosen to stand by him. Even when others backed away, she had wanted to fight beside him.
Her feelings toward him were complicated.

Amelia's heart flipped.
She wasn't shocked at Lucas being offered such a prestigious role—she believed he deserved it. He was strong, calm, and clever. He had always looked out for her, made her feel safe, even when others didn't.
But she was surprised that Jade Walker saw that in him too.
"Brother Lucas?" Jade mused inwardly.
What an interesting way to refer to someone your age. Still, she didn't question it too hard. In fact, this could be used to their advantage.
If Lucas joined, Amelia might follow.
That alone could be a game-changer.
Jade had been waiting patiently for Lucas to make up his mind. He still had two days left in the three-day period she had given him to respond.
Now, she found herself unusually restless.

Would that make her look desperate?
For the first time, the usually composed Jade was feeling uncertain.
Meanwhile, Amelia was glowing.
"The next president?" she repeated, amazed. "You think he's that good?"
Jade nodded firmly. "Yes. I believe Lucas has the potential to lead this guild. I trust his judgment, and I think he's perfect for the role."
Amelia's heart pounded.
She wanted to support him, no matter what he chose. If he joined the Tower Demolition Squad, she would too. Even if he started his own guild, she would go with him—without question.
She didn't need him to ask.
He just had to decide.
"…Alright," she said after a pause. "If Brother Lucas joins your guild… then I'll join too."
Her voice was clear and unwavering.
She didn't negotiate, didn't bargain for better terms, didn't hesitate to show her condition.
Jade and Emily exchanged looks.
They hadn't expected it to be that simple.
"…Really?" Jade asked, still a bit stunned.
Emily nodded slowly, confirming. "That's what she said."
And that was that.
The meeting ended shortly afterward, and the three women exchanged polite goodbyes. As Amelia left, Jade and Emily sat in silence, digesting everything.
"…We underestimated how much Lucas means to her," Jade said finally, rubbing her temples.
Emily nodded seriously. "President, this is buy one get one free. Don't miss the chance."

Before she could finish, Jade grabbed her face again with both hands.
