Chapter 428 - KWM Chapter 427: Rabbit Express, Mission Accomplished

Leyton narrowed his eyes, then he rose from his seat and walked in front of Klein, waving his hand in front of him and saying, "Still haven't come to your senses?"

Klein expressionlessly glanced at Leyton and said in a flat voice, "I saw a pale gray mist, and my intuition told me that they were the same as the Gray Fog here."

"The essence of this Gray Fog is the historical mist. Did you also see the tributary of the River of Eternal Darkness?" Leyton briefly explained, then curiously asked about the content of Klein's divination.

"Is that the River of Eternal Darkness? Something similar to Sefirah Castle?"

"At that time, I also felt the power of slumber, which should belong to the Sleepless Pathway mastered by the Evernight Goddess. Is this the fundamental reason for the existence of adjacent Pathways? Do they belong to the same system at a higher level?" Although Klein spoke in the form of questions, his tone was very certain.

"Basically, that's it." Leyton nodded gently.

"What is the historical mist?" Having received the answer he wanted, Klein turned to ask about the historical mist.

"Uh..." Leyton pondered for a moment, then shook his head and said, "I don't know much about it either. This belongs to the authority of history. You will understand when you become a Scholar of Yore."

Klein nodded lightly, then raised his hand and snapped his fingers. Light instantly rose around him, transforming into a floating image in mid-air—this was what he had seen in his dream divination.

The image lasted for less than half a minute before ending. Klein turned his head to look at Leyton, who had already returned to his seat, and asked curiously, "Why are you so interested in this period of history? Is it very important?"

Leyton chuckled and said, "A Mysticologist can draw power from the mystical knowledge they master to create magic or sorcery."

As he spoke, he stretched out his hand, pulling a not-quite-real black river from the void. Its source was invisible, and its destination unknown, as if a segment of the river had been Interception from thin air.

The river water looked pitch black, as if even light would be swallowed. Anything washed by the river would uncontrollably head towards its end, even death itself!

The not-quite-real black river only appeared for an instant before Leyton made it disappear. Because it involved the River of Eternal Darkness, even if he was a Sequence 3 demigod, using this Mystical Reenactment was somewhat strenuous.

"River of Eternal Darkness!" Klein immediately stood up from the high-backed chair, looking incredulously at the spot where the black river had just appeared. The palace section affected already had a huge gap.

With a slight thought, this part of the palace immediately returned to its original state, as if it had remained unchanged since ancient times.

Leyton shook his head, explaining with a slight disappointment, "It's fake, not even a phantom."

"Otherwise, this palace would have vanished completely just now, vanished entirely, and could not be restored even through the historical mist."

Klein nodded lightly, rubbing his forehead wearily and saying, "Let's stop here for today. A battle just occurred not long ago, and my spirituality is a bit strained."

As his voice fell, a deep red light instantly rose around him, then quickly disappeared. The ancient palace above the Gray Fog returned to silence, with no figures remaining.

Midseashire County, Constant City, inside a three-story red building.

Lawrence drew the study curtains and began to set up a ritual to summon a Spirit World creature on the floor.

After placing candles, essential oils, and other items, he drew an Omniscient Eye pattern on the floor with herbal powder, then placed the letter he received last night on top of it.

After setting up the ritual, he reached out and gently rubbed the wick of a candle, and a dim yellow flame quickly shot up. Repeating the action, he lit the other two candles, then dripped two drops of essential oil and hydrosol into the candle flames. The flames on the candles instantly flickered, and the scent of herbs filled the entire room.

Lawrence stepped back slightly and softly chanted in ancient hermes:

"I;"

"I summon in my name;"

"Spirits wandering in falsehood, friendly creatures that can be communicated with, collaborators in transactions, rabbit-shaped spirit bodies favored by knowledge."

As the incantation was chanted, the dim yellow candlelight instantly took on a brassy hue. A whooshing wind instantly swept through the room, carrying the herbal powder on the ground into the brassy candlelight, causing the flickering flames to instantly surge and expand, twisting into a passage connecting to the Spirit World in mid-air.

As the passage formed, a seemingly dazed, translucent rabbit emerged from within. It wore a gray-blue vest, with a bright-eyed rabbit pattern embroidered on its left chest.

Its dazed gaze scanned the room, then fell upon Lawrence. After scrutinizing him for a moment, this Knowledge Rabbit slowly nodded, then reached a paw into its translucent body and retrieved a grayish-brown parchment and a white quill pen.

It unfolded the parchment and handed it to Lawrence, its voice as flat as a voiceless phonograph: "Please confirm and sign."

Lawrence, with a puzzled expression, took the parchment from the Knowledge Rabbit's hand and found that it was a notarized document, witnessed by the God of Knowledge and Wisdom. He briefly scanned its contents:

"Lawrence Nord purchases the Bizarro Bane compound eye collected by Mr. Pulak Eggers for 4500 gold pounds. Mr. Pulak Eggers must ensure the material is True and valid.

The transaction is witnessed by the God of Knowledge and Wisdom, executed by the Knowledge Rabbit. As the coordinator of the transaction, the Knowledge Rabbit will receive four percent of the transaction amount as remuneration, with Lawrence Nord and Mr. Pulak Eggers each bearing two percent."

The parchment depicted a holy emblem of knowledge and Wisdom composed of an open book and the Omniscient Eye. Along the edges of the paper were scattered magical symbols and signs representing contracts and order, interwoven to form a peculiar pattern.

Lawrence quickly finished reading all the contents of the notarized document. After confirming there were no issues, he reached out and took the quill pen from the Knowledge Rabbit's hand, writing his name below Mr. Pulak Eggers' signature on the parchment.

As he signed, the notarized document in his hand instantly turned into a brilliant golden color, dazzling like the midday sun.

This state only lasted for an instant before the notarized document dissipated into specks of light. An invisible force simultaneously fell upon Lawrence, the Knowledge Rabbit, and Pulak.

After the notarized document took effect, the Knowledge Rabbit again reached into its translucent body and pulled out an adult palm-sized iron box, handing it to Lawrence.

Lawrence took it and immediately removed the spiritual wall sealing the iron box, opening it to look at the materials inside.

He then took out a crystal ball he had prepared earlier and performed a simple divination on the material, then smiled and nodded to the Knowledge Rabbit, saying, "No problem."

The Knowledge Rabbit, somewhat dazed, performed a not-quite-standard bow towards Lawrence, then turned and entered the Spirit World passage opened by the ritual.

As the Knowledge Rabbit turned, Lawrence finally saw several peculiar symbols printed on the back of its vest—the special symbols from the Roselle diary, eight characters neatly arranged vertically:

"Rabbit Express, Mission Accomplished."

This was the unique script invented by Emperor Roselle! Lawrence was only slightly puzzled, and seeing that the other party had already returned to the Spirit World, he no longer paid attention to this issue.

Emperor Roselle held a high position in both the real world and the field of mysticism. It was not uncommon for some of the characters and symbols he invented to be printed on certain items.

Lawrence looked at the vanished Spirit World passage and the restored normal candlelight, sighing calmly, "The materials are finally complete. The four distant coordinates in the Spirit World Depths were also set up two days ago. I can finally begin my Traveler advancement."

"After this will be the Secrets Sorcerer. By then, I can recite the honorific name of my ancestor..."

After murmuring to himself for a while, he put away the potion materials in his hand, quickly restored the room to its original state, and then began to prepare the Traveler potion.

Soon, a transparent, almost illusory potion appeared in his hand. Tiny specks of ethereal blue floated within the potion, miraculously outlining illusory "Door" symbols.

Gazing at the potion in his hand, Lawrence felt his spirituality seemingly cheering. He could even confirm that the potion he concocted was fine without divination, but the habit from his Astrologer period still made him place his hand on the crystal ball on the nearby table again.

A moment later, a brilliant azure glow flashed in the transparent crystal ball. His divination received a response: the potion was effective!

Hoo~ He let out a long breath, walked to the chair by the desk, sat down, leaned back against the chair, closed his eyes to compose himself, and then began to pray as he did last time:

"The Fool who does not belong to this era, the Lord of Mysteries above the Gray Fog, the King of Yellow and Black Who Holds Good Luck."

"I pray to you, I pray for your blessing..."

His prayer was quickly answered. Dense Gray Fog surged into his vision, quickly filling his entire sight. In the depths of the Gray Fog, a vague figure with a vast and profound aura leaned back leisurely.

Lawrence felt as if the other party had glanced at him, a seemingly unintentional gaze, devoid of any emotion or will, yet possessing an unimaginable, indescribable majesty.

Before he could recover, deep red light surged like a tide from the Gray Fog. This light condensed in mid-air into a tall angel with twelve pairs of dark wings and armor on its back.

This angel flew out of the Gray Fog and instantly appeared before him. Its wings, layer upon layer, descended behind it, enveloping him and bestowing a blessing upon him.

In just a breath's time, everything around him vanished abruptly. Whether it was the dense Gray Fog or the tall, ancient angel, they all disappeared in an instant, as if they had never existed.

"No matter how many times I see this scene, I am still shocked..."

"An angel appeared so easily before me. Even during the Abraham Family's peak, family members could not have seen those noble angels so easily."

Lawrence sighed and exclaimed to himself.

He quickly composed himself, adjusted his state to the best through meditation, and then drank the Traveler potion in one gulp.

The moment the potion entered his mouth, it was absorbed by his body, not even reaching his throat.

Lawrence's mind suddenly became dazed. He felt as if he was infinitely rising, his consciousness breaking through the limitations of his body and entering the Spirit World.

Five or six minutes later, Lawrence, sitting in the chair, suddenly opened his eyes. Brilliant light shimmered in his eyes, as if reflecting countless things.

A moment later, the light in his eyes gradually receded, and the surging spirituality on his body also slowed down considerably. Even the wrinkles on his face seemed to have faded somewhat, and he appeared more energetic and younger.

His figure, sitting in the chair, suddenly became transparent and disappeared, then reappeared on the other side of the room, then disappeared again, and then reappeared...

In just a few breaths, his figure had appeared in every room of this three-story building once.

Finally, his figure solidified by the fireplace in the dining room. Gazing at the flickering crimson fire in the fireplace, an illusory book appeared in his eyes, and its pages rapidly turned.
