Amon chuckled, raising a hand to press the monocle over his right eye. "This illusory world can no longer bear your wonderful will. It seems I won't be able to inquire about more information."
As he finished speaking, the figure of Sasrir before him instantly disintegrated into a deep black.
This was like a dam with a breach, and a torrent of pitch-black water, full of degenerate aura, surged out from it. Substantial shadows instantly covered the entire information world, and pairs of scarlet eyes, filled with madness and brutality, emerged in the Darkness.
In reality, in Sasitan, Amon's figure abruptly appeared in the temple's prayer hall.
He casually surveyed the puppets in the hall, whose faces were half-hideous and half-peaceful, then stepped out, treading on the thick, sticky, pitch-black liquid that covered the floor.
He got away again. He must have guessed what I was going to do. If he had been a bit greedier and not left so decisively, I could have used his unique characteristics to make that information world more stable, and also learned more from that briefly sober consciousness.
He is very certain that he can return. Besides that lunatic, he must have other contingencies. Among these five Pathways, excluding the three betrayers, only that fanatic remains. He even fooled me.
Amon reviewed the situation in his mind as he strode forward. With each step, his figure instantly traversed a long distance, appearing directly at the end of his sight.
At the same time, in the dry riverbed without water, a faint glow erupted from nothingness, and countless complex knowledge gathered and reassembled into Leyton's body.
The flesh on his body continuously cracked and turned inside out, and eyes with cold gazes, suppressing madness, opened and closed on him.
He stumbled and steadied himself, one hand tightly gripping his head, trying to use the pain to clear his mind, while the other hand gripped a few times in the air.
A layer of night, carrying a sense of peace and tranquility, was pulled out and quietly covered him.
After being enveloped by the Concealment, he finally breathed a sigh of relief, slumping directly onto the riverbed, while simultaneously chanting the honorific name pointing to The Fool in Dragonese:
"The Fool who doesn't belong to this era; the Mysterious Ruler above the Gray Fog; the King of Yellow and Black Who Holds Good Luck."
"The Fool who doesn't belong to this era…"
After repeating it twice, a thick Gray Fog suddenly surged from his eyes, and a deep Red Light rose from it, obscuring all sight, then rapidly retracted, condensing into a tall angel with twelve pairs of pitch-black wings and wearing pitch-black armor.
In just an instant, this paper-figure angel appeared before Leyton, wrapping him tightly with its pitch-black wings and bestowing a blessing.
Leyton closed his eyes and took a moment to recover. After receiving the blessing from the paper-figure angel, he clearly felt the stinging pain in his head lessen considerably, and the mad instinct that had been constantly plaguing his mind was grafted to some unknown place.
His breathing gradually eased, and the everted flesh and the eyes that had grown on his body began to retract inward.
The next moment, a deep Red Light suddenly surged in his eyes, completely engulfing his vision.
By the time the deep Red Light disappeared, he had already arrived in the magnificent and ancient palace above the Gray Fog, sitting in his high-backed chair.
Klein's voice rang out at the opportune moment:
"Your condition is very poor. Do you need a Psychiatrist?"
Leyton leaned back in the high-backed chair, raising a hand to rub his forehead, and calmly said:
"Please help me contact Miss Justice. Although I can simulate the abilities of a Psychiatrist, I am not a Psychiatrist myself, so the effect is limited."
"Understood."
Klein nodded slightly, then spiritual energy spread out, touching the deep red star representing Justice Audrey, and throwing a piece of information into it.
After doing all this, he asked again:
"What happened? The madness lingering on your Spirit Body doesn't seem to entirely belong to you."
Leyton rubbed his still faintly aching temple and sighed:
"Amon tricked me."
"He and I went to a corrupted information world. My current state is due to the severe decline caused by the madness lingering there."
He selectively recounted to Klein what had happened between him and Amon in Sasitan, and finally added:
"Amon's actions are a bit strange. He seems to want to use some of my unique characteristics to modify that information to a certain extent, but I can't figure out his purpose for doing so, and there are no High-Sequence related items from your three Pathways there."
Klein leaned back slightly against the chair, pondering as he spoke:
"Perhaps his goal isn't to obtain something, but to know something. A world constructed from knowledge might contain some knowledge that even Amon needs."
Leyton nodded and said:
"Perhaps, but it's a pity my condition wasn't good at the time, otherwise I could have left a Eyes of Mystery Prying to monitor that place."
With that, he adjusted his posture, leaning back in the chair with his eyes closed, resting.
In Backlund's Empress Borough, at the luxurious Hall family villa, Audrey was enjoying tea and pastries at a stone table in the garden with her golden retriever, Susie.
"Woof Woof"
Susie suddenly barked softly twice, alerting Audrey, who was following behind her.
Noticing Susie's tone, Audrey, who had been distracted, suddenly came back to herself and looked to the other side of the garden with some confusion, saying:
"Susie, what did you see?"
"It's me." Alfred Hall, wearing a black trench coat and looking quite handsome, walked out from the corner of the garden.
He held a stack of what looked like freshly printed documents, approaching at a measured pace, then sat in the chair opposite Audrey, placing the documents face down on the table.
Audrey subtly surveyed her brother from head to toe, and while pouring him flower tea, she smiled and said:
"You seem to have encountered some trouble, some trouble that you find difficult to handle."
Alfred looked at Audrey before him with a hint of surprise, then said:
"Is this the insight of a Spectator? It is indeed keen."
"Then did you guess what it is?"
Audrey tilted her head slightly, observing Alfred for a moment, then showed a slightly disappointed expression and said:
"I am only a Spectator; I haven't become a Telepathist yet."
Although I have long passed the Telepathist stage and am about to advance to Hypnotist, I can't let you know this yet, otherwise there will be more questions that need explaining.
Audrey, with a hint of small excitement from hidden secrets, looked at Alfred with a slight smile in her eyes and asked:
"Then, what difficulty have you encountered that made you think of coming to me? Is it Mother?"
Alfred sighed and pushed the stack of documents, which had been face down on the table, towards her, saying:
"These are the potential marriage partners Mother has chosen for me. She wants me to take a look first, and if I'm not satisfied, she'll select another batch."
"Who told you that you are the idlest person in the family right now?" Audrey gloated a little.
No sooner had she spoken than a thick Gray Fog suddenly surged before her eyes, and the serene voice of The Fool echoed in her ears:
"Mr. Tower needs some psychological treatment. You can refuse or agree."
As The Fool's voice faded, the Gray Fog before Audrey's eyes quickly receded.
"Audrey? Audrey? Are you listening to me?" Alfred waved a stack of documents of Backlund noble children in front of her.
Audrey reached out and took the documents from Alfred's hand, placing them aside, and said:
"I'm thinking. If you don't want to consider the marriage issue right now, you can push the problem to Big Brother first, or, find something for yourself and Mother to do. As long as she's busy, she won't be in a hurry to urge you."
"Alright, I'll inquire about the situation with Mother tonight. You just wait for my news."
Saying that, Audrey took the stack of documents about Backlund nobility and stood up, calling Susie to walk into the villa.
She didn't go directly to her room but first went to her alchemy laboratory, asking Susie to guard the Door for her outside.
After preparing, she began to chant the honorific name of The Fool:
"The Fool who doesn't belong to this era; You are the Mysterious Ruler above the Gray Fog; You are the King of Yellow and Black Who Holds Good Luck."
Above the Gray Fog, in the magnificent and ancient palace, a deep Red Light suddenly surged, then rapidly retracted, condensing into the blurry figure of "Justice" Audrey.
She instinctively wanted to stand up and bow to the highest seat to greet, but when she looked up, she found The Fool's seat empty.
She turned her head in surprise, seeing Mr. Tower on the opposite side of the mottled long table and The World at the very bottom, both sitting in their respective positions.
Klein, using The World's identity, explained in a hoarse voice:
"Mr. Fool has temporarily left. If you need anything during the treatment process, you can still ask; he can hear you."
"I have a deal with Mr. Tower, and I'm staying to protect your safety. Your Sequences differ too much, and providing psychological treatment to him would be a very dangerous thing for you."
His main concern was that the presence of The Fool might affect Miss Justice's treatment, so he chose the identity of The World, who was on an equal footing with them.
Audrey nodded, then looked at Mr. Tower, Leyton, diagonally in front of her, and took a deep breath, saying:
"I understand, Mr. Tower, shall we begin the psychological treatment now?"
Leyton nodded gently and said:
"Yes, you need to be careful. Due to some unexpected circumstances, my humanity is not abundant right now. During the treatment, do not be influenced by the rationality and madness on me. Mental influence will be more severe for a Spectator."
"Thank you for the reminder, I will be careful."
Audrey smiled and nodded in response, while also using an "Placate."
This brought a certain degree of relief to Leyton, whose mind had been in a state of suppression and tension, and the indifference and madness that had been constantly impacting his mind also subsided slightly.
