Chapter 521 - KWM Chapter 519: The Transaction in the City of Silver

When he came back to his senses, he found himself back in the river in reality, with the sound of rushing water by his ears.

Beyond the deep, endless darkness, there seemed to be a long, flowing river.

It was a good thing I had isolated the space I was in beforehand, otherwise I would have been swept away by the sudden appearance of the river water.

With the appearance of the river water, the originally dry and sunken riverbed turned into a wide, gushing river.

In the dark and cold river water, a figure suddenly appeared. The moment he touched the water, his body suddenly became transparent, shattering into specks of brilliant starlight that surged and shot out of the river.

On the riverbank nearby, specks of starlight reformed internally, revealing Leyton's figure.

He dragged his right hand a few times through the darkness in front of him, and a transparent crystal ball emitting a faint starlight appeared in his hand.

He casually glanced around and muttered to himself in a low voice:

"Amon hasn't reappeared. It seems his goal has been achieved. Otherwise, with his abilities, he would definitely have a way to directly pinpoint my location if I hadn't gone too far."

"The Beyonder characteristics left in that city are truly tempting, but it's a pity. Although I don't know what Amon did, I feel that the gains from going there would be far less than the risks."

He reined in his diverging thoughts, used divination to determine the direction, then his body instantly became transparent, shattering into specks of brilliant starlight that surged towards the distance.

In the City of Silver, with the intentional help of Chief Colin of the Council of Six, Derrick quickly gathered the materials and completed the Notary Sequence.

Feeling the power flowing within him grow stronger, Derrick was in a rather good mood. He was somewhat eager to test his Beyonder abilities in his room.

He stood calmly in the center of the room, his hands slightly open.

A sacred, descending, clear, brilliant, pure, and warm light suddenly appeared, illuminating the entire room brightly, leaving no trace of darkness or shadow. This light also had the effect of warming hearts and boosting courage.

Slowly lowering his hands, he rubbed his fingers together twice, and golden illusory flames instantly ignited out of thin air around him.

These flames carried a rich Sun aura, pure and sacred, densely packed, forming a continuous expanse.

Under the golden firelight, the golden rays flowing in his eyes became increasingly pure, eventually evolving into a stamp-like projection. Then, he used Jotun to chant:

"Notarize: Invalid!"

The light and fire in the room instantly dimmed, and the golden flames flickered a few times before extinguishing completely.

Compared to a Solar High Priest, a Notary's physique was further enhanced, and to a great extent, but he was still more inclined towards support.

Dong! Dong! Dong!

As thoughts drifted, the door to his home was suddenly knocked upon.

"Who is it?" Derrick shouted loudly, while somewhat flusteredly reining in his spirituality and dispelling the dim, faint glow in the room.

The knocking outside the room stopped, and a somewhat familiar hoarse voice came through:

"The chief wants to see you."

"Alright." Derrick quickly regained his composure and calmly nodded in response.

The other party's voice was very distinctive; he had already recognized who it was—the guard who followed Chief Colin of the City of Silver's Council of Six, and the one who used to supervise him.

Strange, why did he choose to knock today? In the past, he would always appear directly in the corner of the room through the shadows. The thought in his mind paused for a moment; he remembered the light he had just created in the room.

Reining in his thoughts, he picked up the hurricane axe placed on the nearby table, tucked it into his waist, and then left the room.

He arrived at the Round Tower with practiced ease. The guards below merely conducted a simple check before letting him pass.

At the top of the Round Tower, in front of the door to Chief Colin's room, Derrick had not yet raised his hand to knock when the door already opened from the inside.

The person who opened the door was wearing a black robe with purple patterns, her appearance beautiful and graceful.

Derrick was slightly stunned for a moment, then he nodded to her in greeting:

"Elder Lovia."

"Come in, the chief is waiting for you." Lovia nodded gently and said, then passed Derrick and left the chief's room.

Derrick retracted his gaze from Lovia's retreating figure and walked directly into the room. After closing the door, he came to Chief Colin's desk.

Under the dim candlelight, Colin leaned back in the chair on the other side of the desk, his eyes slightly unfocused, seemingly lost in deep thought.

After waiting for a while, Derrick finally spoke to interrupt Colin's contemplation:

"Chief, you called for me?"

Colin looked up at the young man in front of him. There was still spirituality overflowing from his body, clearly showing that he had just completed his advancement.

Nodding to Derrick, Colin calmly said:

"It seems your advancement went smoothly. Do you still have the subsequent potion formulas?"

The chief still wants to ask if I can still obtain subsequent potion formulas from the Tarot Club?

"Probably still have some..." Derrick replied, not entirely sure.

"En." Colin nodded calmly, then said:

"The food we exchanged before is almost used up. We need to trade with Mr. Tower again."

"But Mr. Tower has arrived... I understand, I will contact him. With Mr. Tower's style, he must have made arrangements."

Mid-sentence, Derrick suddenly realized what the chief meant and immediately corrected himself.

Colin gently nodded and said, "Now then, try the honorific name he gave."

Although Derrick didn't quite understand the chief's intention, he still followed the instruction and chanted the honorific name Leyton had given them earlier:

"The Blessed of knowledge and Mystery, the wise one from the unknown, the eye that gazes upon truth, the calamity of the Rorsted Archipelago, the great Al Tines!"

After repeating it twice, he suddenly felt a cold, indifferent gaze spanning an infinite distance fall upon him.

The cold gaze gave him a sense of suppression and restraint. Under this gaze, he felt that nothing about himself could be hidden.

"I hear you."

A somewhat indescribable voice directly echoed in his mind, as if this information had been directly poured into his mind.

In less than two seconds, that cold, indifferent gaze vanished.

Derrick felt a sense of relief. He turned to look at Chief Colin, who had been watching him, and nodded gently:

"Contact made. It might take a while."

Colin nodded faintly and said, "En, find a place to rest for now."

Derrick sat by the French window, his eyes unblinking as he gazed at the pitch-black sky outside. The frequent lightning flashes allowed him to clearly see the general scene outside. The height of the Round Tower allowed him to easily overlook the entire the City of Silver.

About ten minutes later, in Chief Colin of the City of Silver's room, specks of starlight flew out of the void, rapidly reassembling in the room to form a door covered in mysterious patterns.

A faint blue light flashed, and Leyton's figure appeared in the room. Behind him, the door covered in mysterious patterns shattered into specks of starlight and dissipated into the air.

Leyton went straight to the point and asked, "What do you need me for?"

"I want to trade for a batch of grain. Do you still have a way to obtain it now?"

Leyton nodded, not too surprised:

"Yes, the price is still the same as before, but it will take about a week. This requires some time for arrangements."

"No problem." Colin nodded gently. He paused, then continued:

"Do you know the information about the high Sequence of the Warrior Pathway? If you do, what do I need to pay to exchange for it?"

Leyton lightly snapped his fingers, and specks of starlight cascaded around him, quickly condensing into a high-backed chair made of starlight.

He leaned back in the high-backed chair, his right thumb rubbing his chin, and after a while, he spoke faintly:

"I know about the Warrior Pathway from Sequence 4 to Sequence 2. Beyond that, I don't know. If you're interested, you can exchange it with me for information on the Earth Pathway. If I'm not mistaken, your the City of Silver has something at the Angel level of this Pathway."

Colin stared into Leyton's eyes for a long while before speaking faintly, "Alright."

Leyton nodded, then began to introduce the information he knew about the Warrior Pathway:

"Sequence 2 of this Pathway is called Glory. The most representative one should be the Giant King's youngest son, Bladel, the God of Glory. He was cursed for publicly cursing the Ancient Sun God, and his corpse is still roaming this continent."

"Glory is the Sequence 2 Angel most skilled in direct combat, mastering a portion of the authority of decay..."

"Sequence 3 is called Silver Knight, extremely skilled in direct combat."

"They can materialize the power of guardianship into sturdy, ornate, yet weightless silver full-body armor. Their ability to withstand blows is much stronger than even a Dragon, and they possess a firm will and immunity to illusions, effectively countering mental ability influences."

"They can launch attacks across space, even making attacks burst directly from within the target's body, making them difficult to predict and avoid."

"The advancement of a Silver Knight requires the blessing of an Angel or higher existence. Due to the different blessed deities, they will have minor differences."

"If the blessing comes from the Giant King, then all aspects of the Silver Knight's domain abilities will be stronger."

"Sequence 4 is called Demon Hunter. Experienced Demon Hunters can use their inherent 'Demon Hunting Eye' ability to determine if a target is lying."

Leyton looked at Colin, whose left and right eyes each showed a complex dark green symbol, and said no more.

Derrick, who had been listening quietly on the side, couldn't help but exclaim in his heart, "So powerful! It sounds like there are no obvious flaws. But why does Mr. Tower keep emphasizing direct combat? Is a Warrior very weak in situations without direct combat?"
