Chapter 347 - 347. One Dies and One Escapes

Yvonne shed her white wolf form and, donning a cloak transformed from her iron bat wings, approached the railing, anxiously searching for Rudolf. Rudolf stood on a floating piece of deck debris. Seeing both sides safe, Rudolf and Yvonne breathed a sigh of relief.

Rudolf was pale and severely anemic, but since he was the victor, the others couldn't see his weakness. Yvonne was even thinner.

The white fog on the sea gradually dissipated, and the details in the fog became clear to everyone.

This naval battle began with Rudolf the Furnace and ended with his own hands. Even the chief engineer and several engineers in the engine room came on deck. The shipowner, Mr. Rudolf, was the ultimate victor. The debris from the deck where Rudolph was located was so large that he stood in the middle of it, his body rising and falling with the deck. A group of transformed bats circled around him. The crew recognized these bats. They were Mr. Rudolph's friend, the rare fourth-level vampire Vanya.

As for the members of the Wizards' Association, they had either perished in the explosion, were reduced to charred floating corpses, or were only emitting faint moans in the distance.

"Rudolph, where is the fifth-level wizard?" Cooper asked, the question that troubled him most.

"Dead."

"Where is the fifth-level druid?"

"Escaped." "One dead and one escaped," Rudolf's answer caused everyone on the ship to breathe a sigh of relief.

Only the rear half of the Wizard Association's main ship remained. The rear half of the hull had gradually sunk, and the smooth, arched rift of the broken ship lay exposed on the sea surface.

The steel had melted, turning into a tumor, and the wood had completely charred, leaving a black edge at the fracture site. The explosion had just generated extremely high temperatures, and the upper half of the hull had not exploded, but completely melted.

The multi-layered structure of the cabin inside the rear half of the hull was completely exposed, and the high-temperature explosion had blown away several layers of decks and components within the hull.

The sea was full of scattered parts, deck fragments, floating buckets, and charred bodies.

The tragic state of the ship's front half is unimaginable, for the front half has disappeared. The Wizards' Association, terrified by the mere mention of its name, was defeated by Rudolf's final blow.

At this time, all the surviving crew members came to the railing and watched the final results of the shipowner and the Wizards' Association. The shipowner, Mr. Rudolf, had earned the respect of these crew members. He was worthy of being the wanted criminal considered by the Alchemy Council of the Carolingian Kingdom. His strength was truly great.

Tragically, three crew members perished in this naval battle, all at the hands of Nairn's chain of guards.

Kedric was extremely envious of Rudolf's dazzling final blow. He didn't know when he would be able to single-handedly defeat two Level 5 apostles. By then, he could have become a powerful captain like his older brother, Caleb.

In Rudolph's eyes, the seawater was full of relics, radiating starlight and slowly sinking. Sparks automatically avoid relics. Rudolph had only acquired one Pisces relic in Hodor's Landing. Now, the large collection of Pisces relics, soaking in the seawater, made him itch.

Rudolph's physical condition was very poor, but he kept it under wraps to avoid being seen by the crew and others. Anemia makes people shiver, and the thought of immersion in cold seawater makes him shiver, so he calls Cooper for help. The cold of the seawater has no effect on the corpse.

First Mate Mackenzie suddenly reminded Cooper: "Captain Cooper! We need to capture those two ships first! They're trying to escape!" "Take both ships to the southern continent and sell them. That's big money. Each ship could sell for tens of thousands of gold shields!"

Cooper glanced at Mackenzie's finger. The two armed merchant ships, having escaped disaster, deftly lowered the Pisces flag of the Wizard's Association and sailed far, far away.

Tens of thousands of gold shields? That's how much money you could make as a pirate? Cooper suddenly felt like a good way to make money. The Bauhinia could sometimes play the role of a pirate.

Faced with First Mate Mackenzie's proposal, no one else said anything. Even Butler Nairn agreed. The price of capturing two ships was too high. Even if Nairn wanted to talk to Rudolf Crucible, he wouldn't stop the Bauhinia.

Cooper instantly became interested: "First Mate! "Go and order the Bauhinia to pursue those two ships!"

After that, Cooper tossed Rudolph a Zombie Tooth and shouted at him, "Rudolph! First you control the corpse, and first we'll capture the merchant ships! These two merchant ships will not only allow you to recoup your expenses! You'll also..."

You can make a fortune!"

Rudolf also saw an armed merchant ship that had fled some distance and hastily shouted, "Money is important! Don't worry about me!"

Since the Bauhinia's capture, Rudolph's gold shield had been spent, only outwardly, not inwardly. Even someone as rich as Rudolph can't handle the speed at which money is spent. Luxurious carriages and yachts are great toys for men, almost the greatest toys for men to invest in.

His investment in the Bauhinia exceeded tens of thousands of gold shields. It's a gold-eating beast that can sail the seas. It would be great if he could get his money back.

First Mate Mackenzie and Cooper had discussed this many times. The Bauhinia is a ship converted from a warship. It lacks the large cargo hold of a typical merchant vessel. Its most suitable use is as an escort ship for merchant fleets, using its immense firepower to repel pirates in the ancient sea and charging a certain escort fee. Large merchant fleets typically hire armed escort ships like the Bauhinia, which will not sail for long periods, and a single voyage is enough to provide food and water for a year.

The Ancient Sea Mage Association is the most powerful force on the ancient sea. In the battle between the Bauhinia and the Mage Association's main ship, the ships' firepower is comparable, with the Bauhinia being even stronger. If matched with a powerful apostle, such as Butler Nein or Wizard Rudolph, the Bauhinia will certainly become famous and receive more orders.

First Mate Mackenzie ordered the Bauhinia to leave the sea zone and avoid any possible deck fragments. Frankly, he was a little scared. Anyone who goes to sea fears shipwrecks, which symbolize death and despair. These wrecks always remind people of those poor souls who died of thirst or hunger in despair, floating at sea for more than ten days.

After leaving the sea zone with the floating debris, Mackenzie was still a little scared. Everything he had just experienced felt like a nightmare.

The enemy on the opposite side was actually a druid, a 5th-level Druid of Natural Disasters, a druid who had conquered a hurricane of natural disasters. This made First Mate Mackenzie feel like a villain. How could he turn against such a chosen apostle of God?

The bombed ship belonged to the Ancient Sea Magicians Association. The Magicians Association was the hegemon of the Saragu Sea. No one dared to oppose the Fish Magician on the ocean.

In the previous naval battle at Port Cordor, when Mackenzie came into contact with Rudolf and Captain Cooper, he sensed that they were extremely dangerous. Now, fighting the Magicians Association and the druids makes Mackenzie feel even more uneasy. He has no other choice. A sea vessel is a closed environment. While sailing, everyone must obey the captain's orders.

Anyone who has been at sea knows that many people who disobeyed the captain have lost consciousness in the middle of the night and thrown themselves off the ship. Some of them made excuses to the outside world, for example, that they fell into the sea after drinking or contracted the plague and had to fight it off, while others died under unclear circumstances.

Mackenzie asked cautiously, "Captain Cooper, is a 5th-level wizard of the Wizarding Society really dead?"

"It sounds impossible, but Rudolph doesn't lie, so he must be dead."

Mackenzie thought so too. Although the ship's owner, Mr. Rudolph, looked a little tired, the satisfaction on his face was genuine.
