Kael's POV
As she was finally calm, I wanted to tell her the full truth — how I learned everything, how everything connected — but then I saw her lean into Roman, letting herself rest.
The emotional storm she had just gone through had drained her completely. And with the pregnancy… her body was already exhausted.
It wouldn't be right to overwhelm her with more now. I have to wait for a while.
"Are you alright?" Roman asked her softly, holding her protectively with both arms wrapped around her.
"I'm just tired," she whispered back, barely audible, closing her eyes as she let her face rest against his chest.
"You need to rest," I told her quietly. My hands still holding hers, caressing it gently. "You're pregnant, that's why you're feeling so many changes. You'll feel exhausted often. I'll ask Liam to do something to help."
She let out a tired little hum — a small sound, yet enough to show she had heard me.
