Leon walked into the library. It was silent, and very few students were in as it was class hours. He saw her. As said, she was immersed in a book. Leon went in, took a random book, and sat where he could get a complete view of her. He covered his face with a book and peeked at her occasionally. He felt like he had waited for a long time to meet her, even though they had met 3 days ago, and this was the third time they met. She looked as beautiful as ever in her white casuals, but each time her expression was different. At the cafe, it felt like she was waiting, a bit sad and silent. In the room, she was smiling as if in ecstasy, and now she seemed too involved in the book. Leon felt like he could watch her for eternity and wished this moment would go on and on.
James and Finn were laughing, watching him through CCTV.
The school bell rang, indicating he had been there for at least an hour. All students went out, and soon it was time to close the library. It was just two of them, Mira and Leon. She slowly walked towards him and tapped the book he was holding. He looked at her, and she gestured to him for the book. Leon stood up, gave the book, and followed her to the bookshelf.
Mira was arranging the books before closing. They were standing just like the other day. He was standing behind her while she was not facing him. It kinda brought a sense of deja vu to Leon, and finally, Leon spoke.
"Do you remember me?" Leon's words were soft and stern, echoing in the library.
She nodded without looking at him.
"Then do you remember that... that night?" Leon asked shyly.
She nodded again. Leon understood she was a very reserved person and was shy to answer. He didn't ask further. he followed her silently to the door, then to the reception, and on the way. He could see that she was not angry nor rejected him in following her. Just before she reached her hostel, he jumped to the front,
"I.... I want to talk... can we go to the coffee shop nearby?... please..."
She looked at him and nodded. Leon smiled at her like a child. He was too happy with her response. Leon grabbed her pinky finger and looked at her. She didn't push him. He smiled and took her with him.
The coffee shop was just one of them. He asked James beforehand to evacuate the coffee shop.
"Hii.. I am Leon... Leon Deskmore. You can call me Leo. My family has my father, mother, and a sister. I work at the Deskmore group of companies. I am 28 years old. My birthday is on July 25th and Zodiac Leo..." Leon suddenly stopped sensing his nonstop chatter might bore her.
"Mira... Librarian... 25 years old..." Leon found himself proud that she talked to him and told him her details.
"Okk... Mira, can we..."
"It's ok. An accident." Leon felt a sudden surge of pain in his heart...
"I know... I won't force you... to... Can we know each other?" She looked at him in confusion.
"Hmm... Can we talk daily like this for some minutes here... Like ... to know each other?"
She thought for a while and got up and nodded.
"Ok. Coffee shop."
"Yes... Sure..."
"How long?"
"A month..."
"Hmm." She walked out.
