Hiraya briskly made her way into her room and picked up a few items before heading back to the library.
She pressed her palm against the side of a bookshelf, and a scanner glowed, capturing his handprint.
A lock clicked, and a hidden stone panel slid quietly aside, revealing the entrance to a dimly illuminated tunnel.
The air inside was eerily cold and stale as Hiraya stepped in, slinging her backpack over her shoulder.
The panel sealed shut and the once dim light brightened with every step she took, only dimming again as she got closer to the exit.
After almost ten minutes of speed walking, she reached the tunnel's end – a biometric trapdoor that opened beneath a scrap-metal car pound in the old district.
She brought down her backpack and retrieved a sealed bag containing some clothes. She took off her clothes and slid into the coveralls paired with grease-stained gloves.
