Chapter 310 - The Snowfield’s Fury

The Titan Snow Demon King looked at the Snow Empress and Jiang Shengyu and asked, "Snow Emperor, you've returned to the Extreme North—do you have new orders for us?"

Jiang Shengyu had already walked up to Xiaobai. He patted the giant bear's damp nose, then climbed onto its back, sinking into the soft fur.

Seeing how comfortable he looked, the Snow Empress gave a helpless smile. Then she spoke to the Titan Snow Demon King and Xiaobai: "Ah Tai, Xiaobai—gather all clan members with over ten thousand years of cultivation."

Hearing this, both the Titan Snow Demon King and Xiaobai grew serious. Xiaobai stood up immediately and asked in a deep voice, "Snow Empress, are we going to fight humans?"

Jiang Shengyu gave its back a light pat and said helplessly, "Bear Bro, I'm still on your back!"

"You're a good human," Xiaobai said. "I mean the bad ones."

Listening to their back-and-forth, the Snow Empress laughed. She nodded. "Yes—we're going to deal with the bad humans. Go, gather your people quickly."

"Yes!" The Titan Snow Demon King nodded and left at once.

Xiaobai, however, didn't move. It simply raised its head and let out a resounding roar toward the sky. The powerful bear call pierced through the blizzard, echoing across the entire core region of the Extreme North.

The shockwaves rippled outward, scattering snow and blowing apart the heavy clouds above.

The Ice Bear clan lived almost entirely within the core region—and especially those above ten thousand years. Because of Xiaobai, the Ice Bear King, most of them never left the core area.

At Xiaobai's roar, the ten-thousand-year Ice Bears gathered in no time.

Seeing the hundreds of massive white bears before him, Jiang Shengyu couldn't help but sigh. The Extreme North might not match the Star Dou Forest in numbers, but it was still formidable. With so many ten-thousand-year Ice Bears, Xiaobai could easily flatten several human towns.

After the Ice Bears assembled, the Titan Snow Demon King finally arrived with a group of Titan Snow Demons—only to receive a disdainful look from Xiaobai, as if saying, So slow. Pathetic.

Ignoring Xiaobai, the Titan Snow Demon King addressed the Snow Empress "Snow Empress, all Titan Snow Demons above ten thousand years are gathered and await your command!"

The Snow Empress nodded, then looked toward Jiang Shengyu—still sitting on Xiaobai's back. "Brat, it's your turn."

Jiang Shengyu quickly hopped down and took out a projection soul tool. The device cast a map of the Extreme North before them. Pointing to the location where Cai Mei'er's group was stationed, he said, "There's a group of human soldiers here. Our goal is to drive them out."

The Titan Snow Demon King lowered his huge head, asking right beside Jiang Shengyu's ear, "Can we just kill them directly?"

The thunderous voice exploded beside Jiang Shengyu's ear, making him clutch his head in frustration. "Tai Bro, I wasn't finished yet!"

"Oh. Go on then," the Titan Snow Demon King said, nodding.

Jiang Shengyu quietly shuffled a few steps away before continuing: "Killing isn't the objective. The objective is to use whatever means necessary to achieve the result we want. I want them—and anyone who comes after them—to never step into the Extreme North again. So driving them away is best."

"I don't understand. If you don't want them returning, wouldn't killing them be easier?" Both the Titan Snow Demon King and Xiaobai looked confused.

"If none of the soldiers escape, how will fear spread?" Jiang Shengyu smiled faintly.

Fear was contagious—especially in a backward system like the Heavenly Soul Empire. Once fear became uncontrollable, the Extreme North would forever be seen as a deadly, forbidden region.

Xiaobai only half-understood. "Fine! However you want us to act, we'll act! Give the orders!"

"We await your command," the Titan Snow Demon King added, more versed in human etiquette than Xiaobai.

At the Heavenly Soul soldiers' encampment, several soldiers were setting up freshly delivered heating soul tools. The orange-red glow offered little warmth. One soldier looked up at the sky and said hesitantly, "Is the snowstorm… getting worse?"

"Is it?"

The others rubbed their hands, frowning.

Resting nearby, Ling Luochen exhaled a puff of white air, eyes shifting subtly.

The wind and snow grew stronger. Even the ring of Phoenix True Fire Ma Xiaotao had set up around the camp wavered under the intensifying storm.

Ma Xiaotao and the others stepped out from the main tent, watching the tents buckle under the strengthening winds. Cai Mei'er looked toward the Ling family members. "Was the wind this strong yesterday?"

"N-No… We've never seen a storm this intense before!" The Ling family members were equally bewildered.

Ling Luochen got up and walked over. She stood behind the Ling family for a moment, hesitating, then quietly stepped aside—standing with the ordinary soldiers instead.

Before Cai Mei'er or the others could ask her anything, the Phoenix True Fire surrounding the camp suddenly extinguished. The instant the red flames vanished, the terrifying blizzard swallowed the entire encampment.

The storm annihilated every structure. Even soul tools were swept into the sky, and when they crashed back down, they were nothing but scrap metal.

Faint growls echoed through the snowstorm.

Cai Mei'er and Xian Lin'er immediately sensed the approaching auras within the blizzard. They released their martial souls, soul rings flaring to life as their soul power carved out a pocket of calm in the storm.

Cai Mei'er shouted, "Enemy attack! Prepare for battle!"

Through the swirling snow, the Titan Snow Demon King and the Ice Bear King Xiaobai emerged, their enormous forms radiating crushing pressure.

Behind them, hundreds—thousands—of Titan Snow Demons and Ice Bears charged across the snowy plain.

Ling Luochen watched quietly and murmured, "The snowfield is angry."

Her voice carried to the nearby soldiers, and combined with the overwhelming environment, some soldiers broke instantly. Their mental defenses collapsed, and they fell to the ground in panic.

Weapons slipped from trembling hands. In their twenty-odd years of life, none had ever seen a Savage Beast in person. To them, these colossal shapes emerging from the storm were exactly as Ling Luochen described—the fury of the snowfield come to cast them out.

Cai Mei'er and the others recognized the Titan Snow Demon King, but were shocked by Xiaobai at its side. The white bear's aura was terrifying—no weaker than the Titan Snow Demon King's.

Aside from the Three Great Kings, was there actually another Savage Beast in the Extreme North?

"Even the hidden Savage Beasts have appeared… Does this mean the Snow Empress still hasn't returned?" Staring at Xiaobai alongside the Titan Snow Demon King, Xian Lin'er suddenly speculated.
