At that question, Ji Dong and Lie Yan both turned to look at Tang San, and even the Goddess of Life fixed her gaze upon him.
"How could that be possible!"
Tang San immediately refuted the accusation. "That's my daughter! How could I possibly use my own child for something like this? All of you know that I ascended from the Douluo Continent myself. My wife's two sworn brothers still live there. Xiao Qi wanted to go down and visit, so naturally, I sent her there."
The Goddess of Life asked, "How is Xiao Qi now?"
"She's fine! Just… there was a small incident because of that evil entity," Tang San replied with a frown.
The Goddess of Life furrowed her brows. "That evil being is truly that powerful? Even Xiao Qi fell under its influence?"
Tang San nodded. "That's why I had to intervene personally. Moreover, all I did was adjust the celestial phenomena of the Douluo Plane—granting those who fight against the evil the power to pursue peace. This act is in full accordance with the laws of the Divine Realm."
The God of Destruction said coldly, "If that evil thing is so strong, why not just send some divine officers down to destroy it? If the divine officers can't handle it, we could dispatch a few third-rank or even second-rank gods together!"
Tang San shook his head. "That won't be necessary. I believe the people of the Douluo Plane can defeat the evil on their own. Only then will that plane's future truly belong to them."
Ji Dong took the chance to speak up in Tang San's defense. "God of Destruction, the Sea God has made everything clear. He hasn't violated any of the Divine Realm's laws. I suggest we end today's meeting here. As members of the Divine Realm Committee, the five of us should be united."
Lie Yan agreed. "Exactly! If the other gods find out that we're in discord, it'll cause unrest."
The God of Destruction glanced at them both and snorted. "You two—always following Tang San's lead! You're nothing like the God Kings of the previous era."
His words made both Ji Dong and Lie Yan look awkward and embarrassed.
The God of Destruction stood up and said coldly, "Tang San! If I ever find out you're secretly manipulating things and influencing the Divine Realm, even if you're the enforcer appointed by the Asura God and the Sea God, I'll make you spit out those two god positions!"
Tang San rose to his feet as well, replying proudly, "Very well!"
He was certain that the God of Destruction was no match for him.
The God of Destruction flicked his sleeve and left. The Goddess of Life bowed slightly to the others and said, "We'll take our leave as well."
Xiao Wu couldn't help but speak up. "Life… please, try to persuade Destruction not to always target San-ge! He's been exhausting himself every day for the peace of the Divine Realm and the lower planes—he really doesn't have time to play these petty power games!"
Hearing Xiao Wu's words, the Goddess of Life nodded gently. "Don't worry, I will."
Ji Dong and Lie Yan approached Tang San, saying, "Sea God, the God of Destruction has always been this way. Don't take it to heart."
Tang San smiled and shook his head. "When I first came to the Divine Realm, he taught me much about governing this realm. I can understand his fierce defense of divine law and the pride he holds as a God King."
Seeing his tolerance, Ji Dong and Lie Yan finally breathed a sigh of relief. "That's good. We have other matters to attend to, so we'll take our leave."
After they departed, Xiao Wu couldn't hold back her question any longer. "San-ge… what exactly is Xiao Qi's 'small incident'? Is that evil being really that dangerous? It could even threaten her?"
Tang San shook his head gently, comforting her. "Don't worry. Da Ming and Er Ming are still on the Douluo Continent—she'll be fine. Once she leads the people there to defeat the evil and reclaim the plane's fortune, she'll return to the Divine Realm."
"And what about that Child of Destiny?" Xiao Wu asked again.
After all, Tang San had only renewed his attention toward the Douluo Continent because he had observed the birth of a new Child of Destiny.
At that question, Tang San frowned slightly and paused before answering, "That Child of Destiny… has fallen. But it doesn't matter. Our daughter will become the new Child of Destiny of the Douluo Continent."
There was full confidence in his tone. Hearing his words, Xiao Wu relaxed and nodded. "That's good, then."
Then Tang San said to her, "I need to meet with Mu Bai and Zhu Qing. I'll be busy for the next few days. You should be careful at home. Although Destruction probably won't do anything rash, it's best to stay alert."

The God of Destruction stared at her. "Xiao Lü, do you really believe that?"
The Goddess of Life nodded firmly. "Of course. Tang San would never gamble with his daughter's life. Moreover, the Douluo Plane is one of the most vital of all the lower planes under the Divine Realm—it has one of the highest energy levels. It's extremely important!"
Indeed, many divine positions in the Divine Realm had originally been born from that very world.
Seeing the sincere expression on his wife's face, the God of Destruction said nothing more. He simply waved his hand and muttered, "If you followed me just to say that, you've said your piece. You can go back now."
"Zi, how can you be like this?" The Goddess of Life took his hand and said earnestly, "For the sake of peace in the Divine Realm, as God Kings and members of the Committee, we cannot afford internal conflict!"
The God of Destruction fell silent.
The Goddess of Life continued, "I know Tang San opposes your plan to expand the Divine Realm, but I'm sure he has his reasons. Expanding the Divine Realm is no trivial matter—it requires careful deliberation."
Listening to his wife's gentle persuasion, the God of Destruction sighed. "I understand. You don't need to say more. Right and wrong will be clear in time."
