I ran to my house. Well... apartment. Im not rich,kinda of the opposite. Got in,closed the door,then... slumped down onto my couch.
That was too much walking,it's not like I could've gotten a taxi either. I need to grab everything and get ready.
Actually,I just need my phone. I almost forgot food. Several quests left people starving! I seriously need food!
I ran to my fridge and opened it with force,but not enough to break it.
It's... expired! Well, all the good ones. What about my room? No,it's too dirty,all the food is probably mouldy.
I guess I'll take those.
Snacks my sisters bought. They nagged about eating better food,so they brought me 'healthy' snacks. I think I have enough,I have other opportunities to get food anyway.
I emptied my school bag and put all the snacks in. Then I grabbed my phone and went to download aitgw.
Thankfully,I had already downloaded most of it. So this will only take a few minutes. I'm still dizzy. I'll take care of that later,not like I have much of a choice.
When the timer ended,my whole body felt light. The world faded into weird shaped clouds before it faded back in. Now,I was in front of 'the 7 great statues.' The idols.
The 7 statues were of humans. Each with an animal mask on their face and holding a certain object to represent them.
The statue of pride held a mirror and wore the mask of a lion.
The statue of greed held a coin and wore the mask of a crow.
The statue of gluttony held a plate and wore the mask of a pig.
The statue of envy held an eyeball and wore the mask of a snake.
The statue of wrath held a dagger and wore the mask of a bear.
The statue of sloth held a broken clock and wore the mask of a sloth.
Finally, the statue of lust held... a dildo and wore the mask of a peacock.
Something I never understood was the idol of lust. Whatever they were, they never had shame in what they did. Sadly,I can't go after them first.
When I looked around, that's when I realised there were other people. So many, it felt like a threat to my social anxiety. It was a large area. So it didn't feel crowded,I just felt a little socially excluded.
"Katherine!" A familiar voice screamed my name.
Before I could properly turn my head to facs them, Laya hugged me. It was so fast that I almost couldn't process it. She hugged me so tight I stopped breathing in shock. I couldn't tell at first, but she was definitely out of breath.
I raised my head and noticed Jyuna and Hestia also running towards me. They ran as fast as they could and joined the hug. I almost thought someone had died.
"We agreed to stick together!" Laya said."We thought you died!"
I wasn't sure what was going on, so I just stood still. It only felt weird because they got attached quickly. These 3 were the first to be worried about my disappearance.
Then everything stopped. Everyone's heads were forced to look up. This made them notice the black sky. It wasn't completely black,it was an eclipse. But with only the sun shining. The sun made itself look bright but didn't bring light to anything around it.
Sadly,that wasn't the weirdest thing. Actually, the only weird thing that could be seen was the giant,white star that blocked everything else.
The middle of the star broke. Then, it twisted into a spiral that moved around in a circle,making a portal. Something descended from the portal.
A hunchaliche. This one was different. The one I first one I met was hairless,had a frowned face, and was in a suit. This one is dressed casually, with curly hair that looked like a wig, their face wasn't as wrinkly,and their expression was more relaxed.
They opened its eyes and looked down at everyone. Then smiled.
*AHAHAHA! Who would think the world's best warriors would be so interesting. Hold your confused thoughts,I am one of the many hunchaliches who will help you in the future. I'm sure you all have questions. Let me explain. This world is doomed to fall in eternal suffering, and our idols have come to help. When the hunchaliche finished, it looked down at everyone, but their faces weren't confused, but either angry,scared,or just kinda annoyed. I was the kinda annoyed one. Not because of the hunchaliche. No, it's because I was recalling everything that happened in the novel in my head, and I just recalled several things that told me I was going to have to work hard from start to end.
