Chapter 14 - Pain Redefined

I thought I understood pain,

Thought I had named it, worn it thin.

But he just showed me colours, his true colours,

And I learned there are deeper shades within.

I've met silence, I've tasted loss,

I've stood where hope feels out of place.

Yet nothing cuts like truth uncovered,

When love removes its gentle face.

What I called pain was only warning,

This is the lesson, sharp and bare:

Not every wound comes from hatred

Some come from seeing someone clear.
