Meera clung to his neck and breathed in his scent, which weirdly, calmed her nerves. Probably, this was how the mate bond worked, how they could comfort each other, by only being in one another presence.

Apparently, Dalton's room was not different from her own room, which there were not many things in it. it was very simple, until she doubted if he really occupied this room or not, since there was no personal belonging there, aside from the basic necessity.
Dalton put Meera down slowly on the bed, but when he was about to take another blanket, she didn't let go of his neck.
"I will only get another blanket for you," Dalton explained to her, but she shook her head.
