Dr. Summers looks far too knowing when Noel meets her at the train station the next day. A hoodie and a layer of concealer serve to hide the hickies on Noel's neck, and all the other marks are covered by clothing, but even so, it still must be pretty obvious to her what happened, given that he and Jade both vanished right after the fight and didn't contact anyone for nearly 24 hours. Fortunately, she's also the only one who would suspect they were together.
Things aren't completely wrapped up with Sealtiel, mostly due to the unknown entity still stumping all of the techs and researchers, but there's nothing else for Dr. Summers or Jade to do, so they're released to return to Novum. The entire agency is buzzing over the bizarre encounter, and Noel has no doubt all the higher-ups will want to talk to Jade as soon as they get back.
"Mona told me to tell you goodbye," Dr. Summers says, lounging back in her seat as the train sets out. "She says she enjoyed talking to you."
