Noel wakes to the unpleasant impression that he might be completely fucked.
The feeling only intensifies when he opens his eyes to see his brother perched on an armchair in his direct line of sight. Beckett is frowning, which isn't unusual, but this particular frown makes Noel wish he was unconscious again.
"Hey, you're awake." Rae bustles into view, holding a glass of water. "Drink. You're probably massively dehydrated."
The dull throb in Noel's head confirms that, and he drains half of the glass in one go. As he hands the cup back to Rae, he finally looks around the room. He's on the sofa of a comfortable, modern living room appointed in neutral beige and white tones. It's tidy enough to evoke staged real estate photos, and the three people inside of it almost seem out of place amongst the spotless furniture and carefully arranged set dressing.
"Where is this?" he asks, leaning back against the cushions.
