It has been 3 week since that day, when for the first time, when Zack had used the Supreme King Haki without him even knowing it, against Lovely and his Spider Monsters.
Since that day, Zack did everything he could think of to use and weld the Supreme King Haki.
But that wasn't as simple as it sounds.
No matter how much he tried to weld the Supreme King Haki, it wouldn't response to him. Even if he could feel the Supreme King Haki within him, it did not listen to him, making Zack realised, he cannot weld it like Armament Haki or Observation Haki.
And because he has no clue how to weld it, caused Zack to realised, he needed to recreate that feeling, the feeling he had, when he unwillingly activated the Supreme King Haki within him.
He needed something overwhelming, something that pushes him to the limits itself, so he can grasp that dominating power of the seas.
And now, that chance has came before Zack, who stood before the man, that known as the strongest within Fairy Tail.
Someone that will surely bring out the Supreme King Haki, so Zack could learn to grasp and master it.
"What are you waiting for? Come, Zack!"
Upon hearing Gildarts said this, Zack snapped out of his unnecessary thoughts, and looked at the unmoveable pillar before him, who simply stood in place, showing he has no intentions of making the first move at all.
Zack took a long breath, calming himself, this is the first time he will be facing someone, with an aura he cannot sense the end of.
This not even a fight, and yet, Zack did not feel nervous. Even if he knew there is no chances of winning, but is that the whole point why he challenged this monster for?
In order to test the waters, Zack used Shave, and within two blinks of an eye, Zack vanished and reappeared few meters away from Gildarts.
To outsiders, this made it appeared if Zack used Blink twice in a row, a spell from Teleportation Magic.
And yet, those with either knew about Zack's Six Styles, or they can simply sense it themselves. Knew this blinking level speed, wasn't caused by magic, but pure strength and technique itself.
But that was not what was important, as Zack appeared few meters away from Gildarts, and about to formed his next plan of attacks, to test the waters, his green as grass eyes widen, as Zack looked at the expression of Gildarts.
It was a face full of amusement and calmness, the kind of face that was unaffected by the blinking speed that Shave gives Zack, causing the young clueless teenager to realise, that Gildarts is capable of following every movement he just made.
"What's wrong?" Gildarts askes with a grin, as he looked at Zack.
Zack only can sigh; to be honest, this should be expected for someone of Gildarts' specs to be able to see him move that fast…
Zack's physical limitations only allowed for him to use Shave within 7m range, no matter how outstanding Shave is, at this level of Shave is pointless to a being, who properly has experience against beings, that way faster than Zack's level of Shave.
That is why, Zack knew it is pointless trying to play the speed game with a monster like Gildarts. And used Shave for the third time, not in a way to avoid, but as a way of attacking, as Zack throws a simple punch.
Zack knew his simple punch wouldn't hurt someone like Gildarts, after all, even without using Drilling Force from his Quake-Quake Magic or Armament Haki, Zack's punch was simply at D-Class.
So, it was no wonder why it barely did anything at all to Gildarts, if anything, the one who was hurt was himself, as Zack felt his fist that punched Gildarts' steel like body ached a little,
"Is that all, kid?" Gildarts went, with a tone of clear disappointment.
This is clearly not what Gildarts wanted to see, and yet, the older fighter already knew, this punch wasn't really an attack, but to test the waters, Gildarts can already see what Zack's intentions are, which is why a grin appeared on Gildarts' lips, showing his clear excitement.
Zack did not say a word at this, he knew this punch will do nothing, he just wanted to test the defence of this man, who known as the strongest personally, with no Haki or any tricks with his Quake-Quake Magic.
That is why, Zack wasn't offended by being looked with disappointment from Gildarts.
Instead, his arms and legs coated into Armament Haki, increasing his physical strength abilities further.
And smashed his fist once again into Gildarts' body!
Of course, no matter how much his physical strength had increased thanks to Armament Haki, it wasn't enough to even harm Gildarts' steel-like body.
And yet, while the attack did no damage, Gildarts' eyes widen, while the attack felt like an attack from a normal Wizard, or a C-Class Monster, that wasn't the reason why Gildarts' eyes widen in pure shock.
Because the moment that black metallic fist hit his body, he could feel it. Even if it only lasts a mere moment, the flow of his Magic Power within his body, became chaotic.
Gildarts has heard this Haki thing is capable of cancelling spells, but he did not hear it could also dismay one's own flow of Magic Power, it level was small, but enough for someone at Gildarts' level to notice,
It was no wonder why Haki can cancel out the affects of magical abilities, in truth it does not truly cancel out their abilities, but dismays it, twisting the flow itself.
If one imagines Magic Power like a flowing river, Haki will be the stone that thrown into the river.
The river itself will ripple, causing it to become chaotic.
This is the real reason why Haki can cancel out Magic, it dismays Magic Power as whole, rippling its effects from the moment it touched
But is that not all, Gildarts barely not noticed it, his physical strength itself, is slightly weaken for a half a second before it regains itself.
The weakening was only a mere less then 0.01%, something Gildarts wouldn't noticed, if he wasn't truly focusing onto this Haki hitting him.
More Gildarts experienced this Haki Spiritual Arts, more interesting it gets, this Haki Spiritual Arts is truly the bane of any Wizard that encounters it.
Of course, this Haki wasn't just limited to Wizards, since it effects Magic Power as a well, meaning even Magic Items as well barriers and such things are useless in face of this power.
When Gildarts thinks of that, a smirk appeared on his face, after all, this was just the initial ability that Haki is capable of.
This made Gildarts curious what else it can do, what else can this Haki Spiritual Arts can do, besides disturbing Magic, hardening the body, and sensing others?
In the end, this Haki is a true nightmare ability to deal with, in this world of Wizards.
While Gildarts analysed Zack's Armament Haki, Zack himself, sighed seeing his punch was useless, and yet again, this cannot be helped.
The basic usage of Armament Haki has higher defensive ability compared to offensive.
But that did not mean, this is the limit how powerful Zack's Haki based attacks can go. With a deep breath, Zack's black arms began to vibrate, shaking in a way how a drill would.
And once again, Zack has activated the spell and ability of Drilling Force of his Quake-Quake Magic.
When Zack's Haki coated arms became to vibrate like crazy, this got everyone within the Guild's attention, even Gildarts has a look of shock, when he saw such a strange way of using this vibration Magic.
Only one who did not show any shock, were Happy and Natsu, who knew what the Drilling Force is, since Zack has shown them it, in one of their many spars.
As for Gray, he wouldn't know about the Drilling Force, since he was asleep when Zack activated it for obvious reasons.
Zack's drilling black fist shot forward and blasted on impact as it hit Gildarts' chest. Of course, the Drilling Strike, the name of this technique, did nothing to the monstrous body of Gildarts.
Even if the fist was faster, creating a wind based blast that even high end B-Class Monsters would be heavily wounded from.
But this attack did nothing to Gildarts, as if the blasted from this drilling fist, were just a gentle breeze onto the monstrous level body that Gildarts has.
When Zack saw his strongest fist being useless against someone like Gildarts, he noticed the amused look on Gildarts' face.
Zack is no fool, he knew his attack, even the strongest attack that his fist is capable of, would be useless, it was something to be expected.
After all, Gildarts is simply on a whole different level
And yet, seeing the amused look, something snapped within Zack, an emotion he never explained before, afloat within Zack.
This feeling wasn't angry, but annoyance and irritation. Seeing his Drilling Strike had no effect at all, was a hit to Zack's ego.
And due to this very fact, with a childish reason no less, that actually befits his age. Zack used Drilling Strikes once again, but this time, he did not use one, nor two, but dozen or so Drilling Strikes within under a second, all of them blasted and hit Gildarts head on.
This level of attacks is something even an A-Class Monster would be careful of facing.
But that is not all that Zack did, seeing his Drilling Strikes were useless, he switched to Drilling Impact, using the Drilling Force on his legs, and sending out kicks, that are four times stronger than Drilling Strikes.
He also used, Drilling Blade, forming his hand into a blade like form, and with Haki being coated, his hands were no different to actual blades.
And yet, no matter how much punches landed and blasted onto Gildarts body, or how many blasts of his kicks also landed, alongside slashes of Drilling Blade between them.
No damage was done to Gildarts' body, nor did the man himself has any signs on his expression, that any of his attacks actually hurt him.
It felt if Zack wasn't attacking a person, but an unmovable pillar made of stone instead.
"Hahaha, I always seen you so calm, but it seems you can also act your age! Zack, now it is my turn, don't you think so!!?" Gildarts went with a grin and a hearty laugh, before he simply raises his left hand, and send a punch towards Zack.
Zack crossed his arms that coated in Haki Armament at this simple looking punch. And yet, even if it just a punch, it is a punch from monster like Gildarts.
So, it was no wonder, when Zack blocked the incoming attack, his eyes widen, his arms went numbed, even under the coating of Haki, it was useless against this natural disaster of houses and doors.
And just like that, with a punch that not even 100% of Gildarts true strength, sent Zack across the ground several meters.
"Not bad, kiddo, this Haki thing surely handy, however, can this Haki thing block this?"
Gildarts simply went before he stomped his feet into the ground, and the moment his feet smashed into the ground, the ground under Gildarts smashed into many cubes, as these blocks were sent flying towards Zack!
Seeing the waves of cubes heading towards him. Zack reacted fast, and either used Shave or Paper Drawing to avoid them.
However, they were simply too many of them, causing many to hit Zack, who has no cause to withstand the hits from these blocks, by using Haki or Iron Mass.
Each hit caused Zack to move backwards bit by bit, and each cube that hits the Haki armour of Armament Haki, the cube itself became undo, becoming its true form, the destroyed fragments of the ground itself, that fell around Zack.
Seeing there is no longer any cubes to hit him, Zack lowers his numbing arms, and slight numbed body, showing those mere cubes shouldn't be underestimated.
"Not bad, you withstand that, but is that all you got?" When Gildarts said this, he vanished where he stood and reappeared right behind Zack!
Thankful, Zack's Observation Haki alerted him, that someone was behind him, causing Zack to react before the monster behind him. That is why out of reflex Zack sends a Drilling Impact kick behind himself.
However, Gildarts, as if he expected this, or simply built different. Grabbed the drilling leg, forcedly halting the motion of Drilling Force, and then toss Zack in the air, like a stack of potatoes.
As Zack soars within the air, he suddenly used Moon Walk to halt his soaring speed, and used Moon Walk yet again, to make his way back to the ground.

I did some math, because I were curious how fast MC is with his level of Shave.
Shave is the ability to move within a blink of an eye, meaning the speed level of using Shave, is based on how far you can travel within a blink of an eye.
MC level of Shave is very low due to his physical limitations, after all, Shave is a physical technique, not a magical technique, like Drilling Force is.
There are reasons behind why MC only has D-Class level of physical albitites. This is has to due with the adjusting of the Magic Power within MC.
I think I mentioned this before, correct me if I am wrong.
But I had stated, Wizards that refers to as Martial Artists, adjust most of their Magic Power to their physical abilities.
This is the main reason why MC has low physical ability.
He has not yet learned to adjust the flow of Magic Power within him, to strengthen his body further, but there also a downside to adjusting Magic Power like this, this means more Magic Power used to increased the strength of the body, less Magic Power will be accessible for using Magic itself.
That is why, most Martial Artists don't use Magic, besides few of them.
This also the second reason why MC never learned to adjust the flow of Magic Power, since he knows he needs a lot of it for his Quake-Quake Magic, that heavy on magic power usage.
Not to mention, like I said before, it is possible to use vibrations themselves to increased the overall physical limitations of the body.
This also explains why Whitebeard of One Piece, has a crazy level of physical strength, that even without Armament Haki, he can tank city level or above attacks, if they nothing but gentle breezes.
Anyway back to topic.
By going according to Vs Wiki levels, MC speed is low Superhuman level, but with Shave it is middle level of Subsonic level.
Shave is the ability to move at a distance within a blink of an eye, MC limit is 7m, meaning he can move at 70 meters per second, or 156 mph, this brings Zack to Subsonic level.
(Blink of an eye is 0.1 seconds)
By the way, if anyone curious, Gildarts is a damned monster, I know I called him a lot by that, but it is true. While Gildarts stands no chance at a certain Arcane Dragon, among humans, he is a true powerhouse.
His level of his top speed is FTL (Faster than light), unbelievable, right? Of course, that does not mean Gildarts can move at faster than light. After all, speed levels within Vs Wiki does not mean just movement speed, but also attack and reaction speed.
But if he could actually not just react to FTL but also move at FTL, this also means, he can move around 2 million times faster compared to Zack's current top speed.
Crazy, right…?
Anyway, enough me glazing Vs Wiki, since I used that site as a guideline how powerful each character is.

Base Strength is D-Class / Armament Haki is C-Class / Drilling Force is C-Class / Haki+Drilling Force is B to A-Class.
Finger Gun is C-Class by itself. / With Haki it is high B-Class / With Drilling Force, which will be called as Drilling Gun is high B-Class / Haki version of Drilling Gun is low A-Class
Strom Leg is high end C-Class with or without Haki. (Basic Armament Haki does not change the attack power of Storm Leg.)
Shattering and Sky Shatter counts on range and magic power has been infused with, lowest is high end C-Class, and current limit is high end A-Class, short behind S-Class, due to lack of both control over Magic Power, and capacity of Magic Power as well.
Defence Power
At base is D-Class / With Iron Mass is C-Class / With Armament Haki armour is B-Class / Haki + Iron Mass is peak B-Class level, would be higher, but Zack still has not fully mastered the use of using both Haki and Iron Mass together fully yet.
But if he could, it will be A-Class.
Speed Ability
Base Speed is low end Superhuman Level / With Shave is middle level of Subsonic Level.
