INTO THE DEPTHS Location the Oasis Dungeon Area 5
The Bael side branch heir peerage, were still battling on the artic, ice platform of the Oasis Dungeon fifth level. Fighting dozens of Insidious Ruins. Ruby Riotte, she was cutting down the insidious ruins, with Cerberus providing her backup. The triplets using their kickboxing with their extreme acrobatic moves, against the insidious ruins. Nero, Kyoko, and Setsuna were using their incredible speed and skills, to cut down the black sludge monsters. Daki sent out her obi-sashes to slach apart the monsters, from afar. Rumi alongside Caulifla were using brute force, and Rumi even used Caulifla as a springboard to bounce off, and smash more ruin creatures. After a couple minutes, they took out all the insidious ruins. As only purple and red orbs of exp-drops floated around them. Letting Rumi being the first to absorb some of the exp-drops. She immediately jumped levels in her strength and toughness. The rabbit-devil, pumped her fist, exclaiming that she'd never felt as strong, as she is now. She must be at the mid gray, level. Laharl, smiled and walked over to his latest piece. Placing a arm over her shoulders, making Rumi smile, as she'd looked at Laharl challenging. Saying, "Just you wait. Soon we'll have a match, worth of you're full power." this made Laharl laugh. He responded back, "Rumi. Whenever you want. Whenever you want." Rumi still smiling, she looked away with a blush on her face. She'd liked the challenging nature of Laharl. He was getting more and more attractive to the rabbit-devil. With Rumi now stronger, Laharl and the other absorb the exp-drops, some of them managed to level-up their stats. The experience gain from this level of the Oasis Dungeon, is quite large in amount and boost. Laharl, spun around his arm, loosing his joints. As he heard Kneesocks, explain what place this level is based of. Telling them of the frozen landscape that they were on. Being called Tundraful. And underneath Tundraful, is the actual dungeon. Cerberus, Daki, and Setsuna groan in annoyance.
They already hated the cold climate of this level. And now they must dive, into a dark fantastical underwater level. Laharl, hugged and gave each of them a affectionate kiss, to reassure them. As they all walked over to the edge of the ice platform. Then they jumped off the edge, and dive to the artic waters below. As they slowly submerged, they saw it the Deluded Depths. The Deluded Depths was the underwater province of Wonderland. Basically looking like a still functional, pirate port with a massive theater on edge of the port. As the Laharl Peerage slowly floated down to sand floor, that is this frigid underwater world. After a while the devils, finally landed onto the sand. With corals, starfish, and other particles floating in the water. Before they can start exploring, and searching for what is considered a Boss in Alice: MR. Since the second game, didn't have many, unlike the first CP-Game. That's when black sludge started to amass around the devils. More Insidious Ruins, along with a couple new enemies. First new enemy, being the Drifting Ruins. Which are floating, jellyfish-like enemies made of black sludge and doll parts. Then there the Ice Snarks. They are a larger, more menacing variation of another type of enemy of Alice: Madness Return, called Snarks. Ice Snarks have white eyes and their scales are a darker shade of blue and purple. Having a anglerfish appearance, with sharp multiple fang-like teeth angled inward and their illicium have the esca at the tip. They have leaner legs with sharp claws at their feet unlike the Snarks. As the insidious ruins were joined by ice snarks on the sand, and the drifting ruins were floating around, above everyone. Raven, Zombina, and Caulifla went after the drifting ruins. Leaving the rest to deal the other monsters. While Raven would usually use lightning magic against, water based enemies, despite being in a twisted, insane version of Wonderland, she'll not risk harming her sisters and boyfriend. In a rare instance that this water, doesn't follow logic. So she'd settled for wind, earth, and dark magic spell, and attacking with her Soul-self. Ruby and Laharl using their massive blades, to cut down the anglerfish like monsters. Using pure strength to kill the ice snarks, and Kyoko along with Nero providing backup to them. The two knights, blitzing through the ice snarks and insidious ruins.
As the others took on, the ground monsters. Daki, Raven, and Zombina were taking out the final drifting ruins. They kept fighting, until they eliminated all the monsters. In the end only several ice snark corpses remained. As the ruins turned into nothing but black particles. As the insidious ruins left behind red and purple exp-drops. The drifting ruins dropped blue exp, and the ice snarks left behind blue and orange exp-drops. Laharl stored away the ice snark bodies, into his scarf storage. And they absorbed all the exp-drops, some of them managed to level-up their stats, but it was definite for Zombina and Rumi. As they were newest and lowered leveled members in the peerage. It was easy, for the stats to skip levels. This was just the start of this level of the Oasis Dungeon. Laharl, he checked his girls once more. They'd reassured him, that their fine and ready. As Caulifla, groaned. This earned the attention from the rest of the peerage. Daki, asked the saiyan-devil, "what's wrong?", Caulifla stretched and cracked her spine. As she'd responded to her obi-devil sister. Caulifla, she said, "It's nothing. I love fighting and diving dungeons, with each other and the others...it's just... What's gonna happen when Rias, learns about the dungeons?" Caulifla's words hit them all...except Rumi, who was still new on Rias... Laharl didn't think that Rias would cause much problem. Sighing he said, "We'll deal with that later girls. Let's continue on. I'm curious on what Boss, is waiting for us." his words lightened the mood. As the peerage continued this crazy, underwater Wonderland theme level.
FURTHER INTO THE DEPTHS They went in deeper into the Deluded Depths dungeon level, it really looked exactly like the game. A dark, underwater world. With coral landmasses and platforms. Sunken ships, and debrie of those same ships floating around in the water. What really surprised Raven, was the fact they were breathing without issue. Kneesocks, she responded that it was the crazy, magical wonder of Wonderland. Regardless of the version it is. Which made sense for the type of world, Wonderland is. As they traveled deeper into the level, they encountered more Ruins, and Ice Snarks. Together they took those monsters out, without trouble. And eventually they'd faced a brand new enemy. Kneesocks and Laharl immediately recognized the ghoulish like enemies. Which are called Drowned Sailors. Which appear wearing sailor uniforms and some of them even wear an eyepatch. They have rotting blue skin and yellow nails. Some have white or red hair, blue eyes with an outer red rim or white eyes, and some also clutch a broken bottle and have a pipe in their mouths. There were around ten of them, armed with telescopes or even rum bottles. They were clearly hostile, Rumi and Caulifla were the first of the group to move. Caulifla providing her back, so Rumi can springboard off of, while the saiyan-devil started firing a volley of red ki-blasts at the drowned sailors. Eight of them, floated away. But two were caught in Caulifla's barrage. One perishing after several blasts, fading and tearing away. As the other sailor, that was pummeled by Caulifla's volley. She'd rushed him. Punching it across the face, and then starting to unleash a barrage of punches and kicks. With the final blow, being a double hammerstrike to the back of the drowned sailor. Crashing and dying...again...on the sand floor.
Rumi, while still airborne. She locked onto her target, a sailor that driftted away from the rest. Using one of her signature techniques. Blasting forward with a burst of magic, she dives straight at the sailor. As she grips her target's ghoulish head with her legs and twists, as she yells and uses her Luna Tijeras technique. Snapping it's neck, and flinging the still materialized monster, onto another sailor. Not only has her quirk evolved, but also her physical capabilities, since reincarnating as a devil. And that's not counting the level-up on her strength and speed stats, on top of her rook piece boost. Performing another makeshift air dash, she went after another drowned sailor. Once directly in front of the sailor, she hit it with a a powerful front-facing axe kick, charged with demonic power. Her Luna Arc attack, drastically improved. Actually destroying the drowned sailor's head, taking another enemy. Leaving only six more left. Laharl, was impressed. This only being Rumi's third official battle, against enemies that aren't "villains", she was doing quite well. In fact seems that the former Rabbit Hero, has a bit of sadistic battle-lust. Must be a side-effect of becoming a devil, and being more open with her emotions and erges that once held her back. Well that didn't matter anymore. Laharl, and the other girls quickly joined Rumi and Caulifla on facing against the remaining Drowned Sailors. But as soon as a few of them were left. More monsters appeared to attack the group. More sailors, along with not only ice snarks, but also another new enemy. Laharl saw these new enemy, they are Cannon Crabs. Cannon Crabs are huge orange crabs with eight legs and a white underbelly. It has a black claw on its left pincer and a cannon on its right. The Crabs have a cigar in its mouth for lighting its cannon. Joining the cannon crabs, are the Drowned Sailors and Ice Snarks. The cannon-armed huge crabs, stayed in the back, and started blasting away. Laharl used his scarf, stretching it out to shield himself, Daki, and Kneesocks which were the closest to him. While the rest, were forced to dodge all the shell rounds.
Raven she also protected some of her sisters, by making her Soul-self huge. Easily tanking without any damage, the cannon crabs barrage. As Cerberus and Kyoko, took cover behind the gray-skinned sorceress. Meanwhile Nero she'd summoned her Laudatum Domus Illustris, blasting golden beams of mana, at the crabs while Ranko and Setsuna backed her up. As Setsuna used her Moon of the Resting Moth technique. Spinning her naginata in front of herself, she channels her demonic power through her naginata, and manifesting multiple butterflies that flutter to the targets, the crabs. Ranko, was protecting Setsuna and Nero, as they'd dealt with the Cannon Crabs. Firing hadokens at any snark or sailor, that came close to her sisters. The magical gold beams, and light purple and lavender butterflies, soared over at rows of crabs at the back. The butterflies, upon touching the cigar-smoking and cannon-armed crabs, they'd fell asleep. Making easy pickings for Nero's mana beams. As the Red Saber, let out her iconic, "Umu," and placed her arms over her waist. The beams of her Laudatum Domus Illustris, tore through them all. Everyone, cheered for Setsuna and Nero. Making the dog hanyō-devil and the Empress react to the praise in their own way. Nero, enjoying it fully. While Setsuna, got back into the fight...hiding a happy smiling blush on her face. As she rushed over, and slashed a ice snark with her trusted Yukari no Tachikiri. Without the cannon crabs, dealing with the rest of the monsters was easy. And after sometime, they eliminated what remained of the sailors and ice snarks. As a huge hull of blue and orange exp-drops from the ice snarks, white exp from the sailors, and the crabs, they left cyan and purple exp-drops. A massive boon, for all of them. Especially for Rumi and Zombina, the lowest leveled amongst the peerage. As they all absorbed the exp-drops, both Rumi and Zombina, gained a massive level-up spike. And the other gained one or more, level-ups from the exp, they'd obtained and absorbed. Laharl, as usual rested his Vritra Zanbato upon his shoulders. As he started to see the theme of this level. Is a spawning level. Which meant, even in the middle of battle, they'd might be swarmed by more monsters. While it meant, that the exp they'd gain, will be massive. It also meant that they have to be more careful, as they dive deeper on this dungeon level. Letting the girls rest, and enjoy their victory. Laharl, he started to gather, and store away the snark and crab bodies, to sell later. As theirs still far more, for them to explore and face in this level still.
