"Enough!"
Uchiha Madara's face was livid as he looked at Renya with clear displeasure.
"If you don't acknowledge the 'Eye of the Moon' plan, you can return to Konoha right now!"
The ideal he had upheld all this time allowed no one to voice opposition.
As for whether the "Eye of the Moon" plan was real or not, only the day it was personally realized would reveal the truth.
Before that day came, no one was allowed to question the authenticity of the plan!
Including Renya.
Uchiha Madara could turn a blind eye to Renya's lax behavior, but he would never allow Renya to doubt the "Eye of the Moon" plan.
When paths differ, there can be no cooperation—there was only separation between them.
He had thought Renya wanted to change the decayed shinobi world just like him, but now it seemed Renya was no different from Hashirama.
Clinging to Konoha, seeing the world from the bottom of a well, completely unable to comprehend the significance of the "Eye of the Moon" plan.
Forget it. They would see that day arrive soon enough anyway.
Uchiha Madara didn't want to waste more words on this kid.
"Since you don't acknowledge the 'Eye of the Moon' plan, our cooperation ends here."
He stared at Renya expressionlessly, his tone devoid of any emotion.
"Madara-sama, are you really going to remain stubborn to the end?"
Renya met Uchiha Madara's gaze directly, without the slightest intention of backing down.
He had endured for decades, waiting precisely for today!
No matter what, no matter the method, he had to persuade Madara to abandon the "Eye of the Moon" plan!
"Kid, do you know who you're talking to?"
Uchiha Madara narrowed his eyes, both hands gripping the armrests of the stone chair tightly.
This kid actually dared to speak to him in such a tone. It seemed that after decades without taking action, this brat had already forgotten how terrifying he was.
If Renya dared to speak out of line again, he wouldn't mind letting him suffer a little.
"Madara-sama, you're old."
Facing Uchiha Madara's blatant threat, Renya showed little reaction on his face—instead, he smiled.
The implication was obvious…
Old man, at your age, do you really think you're still at your peak?
In truth, that was exactly what he was thinking.
"Is this the confidence you have to openly defy me?" Uchiha Madara said coldly. "You don't actually think that just because I'm old, you can disregard me, do you?"
"More or less, Madara-sama."
Renya waved his hand indifferently and spoke of the plan he had held all these years.
"My plan is to persuade you to abandon this unrealistic scheme and honestly follow me back to Konoha to retire."
Renya's plan had never changed. He truly didn't want to see Madara being misled by Black Zetsu.
Rather than wasting time on a meaningless plan, it would be better to return to the village and live out his old age in peace.
"So you've been plotting this all along." Uchiha Madara suddenly realized.
No wonder he had never been able to see through what this kid wanted—it turned out he wanted to stop the realization of the "Eye of the Moon" plan.
Worthy of being taught by Senju Tobirama.
"Madara-sama, I don't want you to keep making the same mistake over and over."
Renya's right hand rested on the hilt of his blade, his voice growing several degrees colder.
"If you remain stubborn, don't blame me for being rude."
Clearly, his talk-no-jutsu wasn't as strong as Uzumaki Naruto's. Relying on words alone would be difficult to make Madara-sama abandon the plan.
He would need to mix in some fists and kicks.
"Interesting. You want to use force to make me submit?"
Seeing this, Uchiha Madara suddenly laughed.
He hadn't expected this kid to really want to lay hands on him. Even Hashirama hadn't dared to harbor such thoughts.
But Renya—when persuasion failed, he immediately thought of using force.
Uchiha Madara suddenly withdrew his smile, his Rinnegan staring straight at Renya.
"Kid, I'll give you one more chance. Get back to Konoha immediately and stop provoking me."
Although Renya was ignorant enough to dare provoke him, he was still willing to give this kid one last chance.
As long as he obediently left, he would treat this as if it had never happened.
But clearly, Renya hadn't listened at all.
"Madara-sama, I already said you can't keep making the same mistake."
Renya ignored Madara's well-intentioned warning and repeated what he had said before.
He believed that Uchiha Madara wasn't taking action himself because his current condition had severely declined, leaving him only able to persuade him to leave.
How could Renya possibly let him have his way?
"I already gave you a chance."
Uchiha Madara slowly stood up from the stone chair, his voice utterly devoid of emotion.
If Senju Hashirama were here, he would definitely be able to tell that Madara was truly angry.
And extremely so!
As he moved, the chakra transmission tubes connecting his back to the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path were instantly pulled taut, emitting strained creaking sounds, as if they could snap at any moment.
Uchiha Madara's body, hunched for years, instinctively leaned forward slightly, then he took a step ahead.
"Unfortunately, you didn't cherish it."
As this step landed, he suddenly straightened his back.
"Snap! Snap! Snap!"
The chakra transmission tubes connecting his back to the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path snapped one after another!
An overwhelming pressure instantly spread out, filling the entire underground space in an instant.
No longer relying on external objects to sustain his life, Uchiha Madara stood before Renya once more in a powerful stance.
He slightly rolled his neck, his joints producing crisp cracking sounds. When his gaze fell on Renya again, it carried the icy contempt of one looking down upon an ant.
"Since that's the case, then let you personally experience what kind of price you must pay… for angering me, Uchiha Madara!"
If this kid hadn't failed to recognize the situation, things would never have come to this point.
Renya felt Uchiha Madara's current state, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly.
Careless. Even at seventy, Madara's bearing was still the same.
If he had known this, he should have waited another year or two before laying everything bare.
But once the bow was drawn, there was no turning back—he could only grit his teeth and press on.
"Sorry, Madara-sama."
Before the words had fully fallen, Renya's figure had already turned into an afterimage, the tachi at his waist instantly leaving its sheath.
The sharp blade tip thrust straight toward Uchiha Madara's throat.
At the same time, the three-tomoe Sharingan in his eyes spun rapidly and fused, gradually evolving into the Mangekyō Sharingan pattern.
Striking first, without holding back in the slightest.
His opponent was Uchiha Madara, not those fodder from the Allied Shinobi Forces—he had to go all out.
Facing this sudden attack, Uchiha Madara merely tilted his head and dodged it.
"Too slow."
The two seemed to return to those sparring sessions in the cave years ago—the scene now was almost identical to back then…
Only this time, both of them were serious.
As Uchiha Madara evaded the attack, he slammed a fist fiercely toward Renya's chest.
Renya hurriedly retreated backward, avoiding the fierce blow.
Seeing this, Uchiha Madara slowly unclenched his fist, his withered five fingers spreading as they aimed at Renya.
"Shinra Tensei!"
