Jiang Chen's approach was, in itself, completely sound. Using the Profound Ice on his body to protect the two of them, at least any divine expert weaker than the Eastern War God would have no way to injure them via a sneak attack.
But when he shifted the Profound Ice barrier from his own body, something happened that left him dumbstruck.
The Profound Ice did indeed fall away from his body according to his intent, but during the transfer, it unexpectedly flew off into the distance, out of his control.
Just as Jiang Chen was staring in confusion, wondering what his own Profound Ice was trying to do, that flying Profound Ice completely broke free of his control and shot off in Drought Demon's direction.
This is!
Jiang Chen stared wide-eyed in disbelief as, during its flight, that Extreme Ice transformed into one arrow after another, stabbing toward the spot where Drought Demon was.
"Drought Demon, run!"
