Before upgrading, Zhao Zuo opened the Sky-Breaking Saber's panel.
[Level: Middle Grade Magical Artifact · Sky-Breaking Saber]
[Experience: 2200/2000]
[Status: Upgradeable]
[Creation Point: 3.5]
Without hesitation, Zhao Zuo tapped "Upgrade."
A Golden Light shot out from between his eyebrows, merging into the saber's body at incredible speed. It was followed by the familiar gray glow.
The hazy gray light stood in stark contrast to the darkness of the night. It wasn't swallowed by the gloom; instead, it acted like a special kind of light, illuminating the surrounding night.
Inside the Sky-Breaking Saber, golden textures spread and grew like tree roots, eventually covering close to forty percent of it.
Zhao Zuo estimated that these golden textures were likely some kind of unfamiliar Spirit Pattern Path. He just couldn't activate it because it hadn't finished growing.
