"Thank you, Lord Red Dragon!"
Nira's face was filled with excitement as she bowed deeply several times in the Red Dragon's direction.
Her joy stemmed partly from receiving the precious meat and partly from the dragon's willingness to give it to them. This showed that it was indeed quite benevolent.
It also meant her people most likely wouldn't have to move.
They didn't dare ask the Red Dragon for protection; they only prayed it wouldn't slaughter them.
"I'll be heading back then," Nira said, swallowing as she couldn't wait to return.
"Hmph." Hephaestus caught a glimpse of the gratitude on her face and felt a bit pleased, but it still let out a cold, haughty snort.
Thanks to Gauss, its impression of humans had improved significantly; it no longer saw them as mere food. But humans were still just humans. It was a noble Giant Dragon, and it was meant to be superior.
Of course, its master, Gauss, and his companions were exceptions.
