The loving, motherly voice appeared hesitant, and Chichu Chun abruptly left that space. In that brief instant, the voice turned into grief and anger.

Reality and illusion reversed in an instant, as an awakened Chichu Chun gasped deeply. Beside her, Xilin approached with a creepy grin, giving her a hug.

A cold sensation withdrew from Xilin's body. The girl's eyes widened in disbelief as she reached her hand to the back of her neck, her form uncontrollably crumpling to the ground. The Spider Gu Fang pierced straight into the back of her neck, severing her spine.
A strong feeling of suffocation surged up, and she attempted to speak, but blood kept pouring into her throat.
After struggling for a while, Xilin's breathing gradually weakened, and she stared intensely.
