The war eagles are much younger than the giant eagles, but they are still very intelligent, far smarter than any "normal" bird. These falcon species originated in the forests of the Elf Kingdom, and most of the flocks still reside there, although there are some legends that say some have traveled far away to seek new nesting places, so it is not surprising to see them in the Edge Mountain Range.
While most wood elves live under the protection of the forest, there are still some elves yearning to live in those sparsely forested highlands of the Gray Mountain Range, resulting in a strange kinship between the two races. On the middle slopes of the mountains, elf settlements are shaped near the giant rocky peaks, where war eagles build their nests, decorating the nests with sun-bleached bones of those who dared to invade their territory.
